Duke Nukem Forever has decent AUS pricing (seems similar to US pricing with discount) - at Green Man Gaming:

Dick Smith will be having Wii Console + Mario Kart bundles for $148 in the next catalogue. Slipped my mind to check when it starts though. Current one ends on the 13th though so probably the 15th if it's the subsequent catalogue.

Just went to Kmart (In Brunswick) and saw the following scanning up (though not marked)

Sega All-Stars Tennis - PS2 $2
Rockband: ACDC - PS2 - $2
Rockband: ACDC - 360 - $3.50
Speed Racer - PS2 - $2
Spyro: THe New Begging - PS2 $2 (I got the last copy of this at Brunswick)

All I can remember off the top of my head, but basicly any PS2 game marked at $7 was scanning up at $2.

Also Nat Geo Wild Quiz on 360 was $2, Summer Athletics on 360 was $3. I grabbed those 2 + a copy of Rockband: ACDC.

A couple of PS2 games were $2 + 50 cents. Bunch of Wii Games for $1 too.

Were they new, sealed Wii games for $1? Because that's a cheap price for replacement Wii DVD cases.

Dick Smith have a special on at the moment: they are $99

Still a bit high, but probably the best option for a legit one. Thanks Fembot! Nice looking out!

Thats a fantastic price, considering Mario Kart retails for around $80-$100.

Yup, some sealed, some not. Fifa 08, Storybook Adventures and some Love one are the ones I remember.

Has anyone bought from here before? I played the demo and wasn't that impressed, but at $37, I'll give it a go. Is there any special client program you need to download or do they just send out a straight steam key?

I have bought a few things from Greenman, for Duke you will need to install Capsule (There client), the only games they send out a Steam key for are games that say you will require the Steam client to play.

And Duke requires the steam client, does it not?

Also, I got a simple a key for Rift as well. No Capsule client installation neccessary.

Yep, my bad.

I can vouch for Kmart reductions. Just popped into Burwood VIC and got:

Hannah Montana 360 $2
ACDC Rock Band 360 $3.50
Nat Geo Quiz 360 $2

The only other reduced 360 game was Winter Sports, but they had none in stock. I don't think i will scar my gamertag with Hannah Montana though icon_biggrin.gif

Damn it sucks that I didn't bother checking. Why not just say both versions in the first place then? Sigh.

As previously posted David Jones is having a games clearout of sorts, a lot of games are $9.95, $19.95, $49.95 etc. Prices are all over the place, most of their pre 2010 games are $49.95 or under, yet there are a few "gems in the bunch. Full Auto for example is $101.95 (i hope it is a pricing error, i doubt it though icon_lol.gif), reminded me of NBA JAM T.E (pc) still being at the store for many years at a sky high price as well as NBA Live 1996 (playstation) staying at $109.95 then $99.95 for many years, before finally disappearing with the other playstation stock several years after the ps2 was firmly in the market.

They had some ok prices for new releases - L.A Noire was $84.95. And reductions on other games - eg: World Cup 2010 was $16.95.

Funniest sale price i saw was a reduction on a 360 console - $579 down to $521. The thing about it was that it was from the 2007 era including the Forza 2 / Viva Pinata game bundle. Couldn't get a good look in terms of it being a 2006 model repackaged with the game, or the late 2007 Falcon console.

I owned both of those sorts of console bundles at a time (purchased the falcon forza2/vp bundle when i had to replace my original model, i got a 2006 console forza2/vp bundle 6 months later in 2008 when my insurance company FINALLY replaced the model that needed replacing - too bad i had already done it myself the day after, thus i was able to run 2 consoles concurrently).

Anyone in Canberra looking for a $40 Metroid Prime Trilogy should check out Dick Smith in Gungahlin. Not sure how many copies they have left, but they put the sleeve back on the shelf after giving me an entirely new copy, so they must have at least one left (if not more). The sleeve on the shelf has some shelf wear, but is acceptable for $40.

Well worth the cash, that one, even though it's a port of a game from 15 years ago. Absolutely amazing.
