Give 3 reasons that the 3DS is more exciting than the Vita and don't mention Nintendo franchises?
It's a matter of taste, of course some people are going to prefer the Vita.
Also 3 reasons
Better Online
Dual analogue support
Possible region free
The exciting games are new not ports/remakes. _________________

You have to admit that, graphically, it's held up a lot better than the first two games. Heck you could even argue that it looks as good as the MI and MI2 remakes thanks to its style. _________________

yeah it does hold up, but It would be sweet to get HD version, and a version thats easy to get running on current PC hardware. _________________ http://bencadphotography.com/

True. I don't think it's that easy to find a copy of MI3 right now either. eBay or other second hand dealers are the only real choices. Steam or GOG should try and get hold of it. _________________

Uncharted vita is going to be amazing. Its an amazing franchise. Great game
Wipeout is always amazing.
The dual analogue stick
the value for money proposition vs 3ds (just lol now if you compare). same price. One is like a tonka toy. and the 3DS is NOT doing gangbusters sales wise.
touch feature. net features. etc. etc.
BATTERY LIFE.
Plus its a SONY. <3

Nintendo started off well, they had a great set! But, what followed was not so well. Sequels! 3DS failed to excite me, I thought it would have a huge showing but... only show one new game? And Mario Kart disappointed me, I'm a huge MK fan, but I was underwhelmed, it didn't look much better than the DS version. Looks like I'll wait until I purchase the console, just a little longer.. |
Wait for a 3ds revision with actual battery life. _________________

so just watched the tomb raider gameplay and holy shit. That got me excited for the game. I think it quickly jumped up to game of show for me.
This looks fucking brutal
the animation blending reminds me of uncharted 2 wich is probbably the best animation I've seen on a game. But the gameplay looks like fucking The Decent wich... jesus if they can keep up that intensitiy. _________________

Vita for me is superior tech. Its not a case of DS/PSP anymore. It does pretty much everything the 3DS does, only better, and with more. It's a phenominal piece of technology priced very well.
But, like when the 3DS was shown, the software line up looks like tripe. Wipeout is the only game I really want, Vanillaware's game and Super Stardust Delta second. Uncharted will be good, but just like I didn't buy a PS3 for Uncharted I wont be doing that with the Vita.
The price was the only suprise really. Sony dropped the ball, in my opinion, on what could have been shown. Nearly everything had been shown months ago in Tokyo. Not even the Uncharted demo was new. Plus a whole bunch of stuff that was shown in Tokyo (Lost Planet demo, MGS4 tech demo) made no appearance. Sony can state that every publisher is on board and eighty games are in development, but until I see them it's all hot air, much like the 3DS.
I'll get one eventually but I have no real attachement to Sony IPs so it wont be a day 1 case. Wipeout sure is tempting though. _________________

We have been through this.
PSV = PSP
3DS = DS
I'm not a rocket scientist (yet) but I can see where this is heading.
Wonder how the IOS impacts the market as I much prefer buying 99c games than DS ones.

It's probably because the DS's main market is kids at primary and middle school, and Christmas hasn't come up yet. And it's still pricey, for a 'kids' toy (My opinion, don't judge it)
Also, having the name 3DS does not help at all. With so many variations of the DS (DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL), the mass market probably just think it is a rehash of the DS, and not in fact a whole new console.
They should have called it the Virtua Game Boy 5000.
That's what I think. _________________

Both games are rehashes.
Dual Sticks are a great idea, perhaps the sole great innovation by Sony was using 2 sticks instead of 1 (slow clap).
Sony are losing money on every Vita sold, I don't see how that's good for business at all. (yes im biased, since i own NTDOY)
Touch Feature is vastly superior on 3DS, because you can actually see the screen while playing, and frankly the screen is larger on Apple's devices too.
Battery Life has NOT been confirmed.
Sony is expensive, most reasonable minds would agree with me (hence the take over by Korean electronics in almost all Sony electronic device markets).

No, the magazine was conducting a survey on 3DS purchasing habits, not Nintendo. Also, the survey was 60/40 F to M.
And I don't see why you're happy, Satisfied with Mobile Phone Games is ranked higher than Satisfied with PSP Games.

Usually Sony is expensive but the price point has been confirmed to be the same as the 3DS in the states I thought. Granted they're both pushing different new age technologies so it's kind of understandable.
Expect a 3DS price drop, or revision, when Vita hits though.

Are we seriously just ignoring the fact that sony basically pioneered motion gaming aimed at a casual audience on mainstream consoles now? Is that really just going to be the accepted norm? Did the eye toy just never happen or something?
Seriously man credit were credit is due. The eye toy sucked but they did it first. _________________
