I just checked my account on JB's website, and it says my order has been paid, so it looks like I'll be getting the Hero Edition for $116.95  (Well, they would've had to sell it for that price anyway, even according to their T&C, but I was still kind of expecting them to email saying the price was a mistake or something)
Hopefully it arrives on Friday (it seems JB don't send your order until release day)

Got email. Went to site. Fixed up credit card. Around 3pm today. 4.30ish it shipped. So hopefully I'll get it by friday. Got a really busy weekend and my copy of la noire is still wrapped but I'm keen as mustard to play this

I only spent a few minutes playing this last night, graphics are an improvement, gameplay feels about the same....
one thing i did notice that was odd, the cut scenes seemed very blocky at some points and i don't know why that would be....looking forward to getting into it, but i made the mistake of putting on la noire and got sucked into that.

yeah mine is listed as "On order" too, despite getting the email saying it had shipped (and they've taken my money).
bit annoyed actually. if it's out of stock, i'd prefer them to just let me know, as i'm probably more hyped for this than any game for a long time, and i'm not really that fussed if i get the Hero Edition or not, I only ordered it becaues it was so cheap that one time.
perhaps it's simply an intermediate status somewhere between "we've taken this off a shelf and put it in a box with your address label on it" and "its been collected by the postal firm and is on its way"?
(as in, it's packed ready to go, but is on a pallet in their warehouse still?)
i find it odd, otherwise, since i ordered back in March, and they only just take my money now.

JB online sucks. At least in my experience. Half the stuff I've ordered have been 'in stock' on the product page, but 'on order' after I've ordered it. Or I've pre-ordered a CD or game and it has taken nearly a week after the release date to arrive. They take so damn long to ship things. Maybe I'm just one of the unlucky customers.
I ordered my copy from GAME who express ship all pre-orders for free. That's the way it should be done. I pre-ordered the Special Edition which was only a dollar more than the standard one. It's currently on the truck for delivery so it should arrive today. Still gotta finish the first one before I can play however.

Hmm? I did't go back to jbhifis website after, the email said Its been shipped 1-3 business days so I hope to get it today. ;p

Just got a email saying its been shipped. Give;s me hope for it to be delivered tomorrow. I think there stuff ships out from Victoria, so fingers crossed. Listing online now says that its 'in stock' so on order must be pre-order status or something.

So I was in at my work this morning and picked up my Hero edition of the game - very awesome. Have just spend many hours playing it. Its a very fun game. Plays very similar to the first game, which is not a bad thing.
Tiny things have been tweaked here and there which I really enjoy, such as the ability to switch back to older powers even after you've upgraded. Its a very polished game and its definitely on par with the original game.

Finished inFamous this morning (well the story. I have nearly completed last 2 territories) and about fifteen minutes later this arrived. Perfect timing. I played as Good so this time I'm going the Evil route. I don't normally like playing as an evil character so we shall see how I go...
I really like the little tweaks. I like that Cole runs faster and travels along power lines quicker. I also like that you get some powers from the get-go like the grenades and Static Thrusters. Even something simple like having those "vertical launch poles" which launch you up a building quicker. Or that news bulletins are now shown in the top right of the screen if you move away from them. If I have to complain: I don't like how bolts now cost you electricity to use. In inFamous they came in very handy when you were out and still had enemies you couldn't melee. Now, if you're out you have nothing but melee to fall back on, but considering there's bio-leeching (which I wish didn't involve the very slight button mashing and was more like Heal) and plenty of electric draining stuff it's a minor quibble.
For anyone who gets the additional content, it becomes available after Zeke gives you the amp weapon. From there you go into options and there's a skins option to change. Sadly you can only equip one skin at a time so you can't use classic Cole and the Gold Amp for example.
