Well, with all but one of the E3 conferences wrapped up, these are my biggest highlights.
- Far Cry 3. Fuck yes. Loved Far Cry 2 flaws and all, knew this was on the way, but happy to see it finally revealed.
- Mass Effect 3 footage on Game Trailers. The conference footage was a bit weak, but the two demos with Casey Hudson on GT were MUCH better.
- Vita price. Competitive and affordable. Will put needed pressure on Nintendo, and means I can actually get it if I want .
- BF3 is gorgeous. Master race representing.
- Trackmania II is going to be all kinds of stupid amazing.
- Tomb Raider has potential to be good, but at the moment is an unknown. Impressive visual and conceptual demo. Fingers crossed its a deeper experience and the developers pull it off.
- Rayman Origins is going to be really great!
That's about it. Overall this E3 has, so far, been a lot of rehashing of already announced titles and very few original reveals. Lets see how Ninetndo do. _________________

If it comes out here for any more than the US price, I'd be pretty disappointed. |
Uh, get ready to be disappointed then.

Vita looks impressive in tems of hardware, but I'm not really sold. I think the touch pad on the back looks annoying, and I think while they're going after a more casual crowd with the social networking stuff, they're unlikely to capture that market with games like Uncharted.
Sony did better than MS, but not by a whole lot. Nothing unexpected, really, except for SfXT coming to Vita (Fuck, that's a horrible name).

Difference being at least Sony and Nintendo have a wider assortment of rehashes to choose from.

Sony didn't show a whole lot in the end (where was Last Guardian?), but at no point did I feel any of the weird awkwardness that I got from Microsoft's address, which was composed of 60% WTF
I like the sound of the single screen multiplayer with the 3D TV and the ship level of Uncharted was awesome. PSV looks really good too.

So, what predictions/hopes for the Nintendo conference? My hope is extremely unlikely, but I want a date for the Ace Attourney/Layton crossover. More likely, we'll get Mario platformers, Smash and Kart for Cafe, and Kart for 3DS, and maybe another announcement of a major Ninty franchise.

Stayed awake through the Ubisoft conference, but that Sony one killed me, and I fell asleep while Dake was talking in the Uncharted gameplay.
Sounds like I didn't miss much by the looks of things anyway though, no big reveals.
Bring on Nintendo now... _________________

I just want to know if Mario's hat is leather or cotton.
Id be happy with a 2 minute teaser of Mario, Bowser and Yoshi in an HD Mario 64 Style Mushroom Kingdom.
Oh, and Monster Hunter 4 for Cafe next year, or failing that, MH3 for 3DS this year.

I'm hoping there will be plenty of Cafe games shown, including current gen 3rd-party ports so we can get an idea of it's actual performance (in comparison to PS360), + some specs so we can get an idea of it's on-paper performance.
Hoping to hear how long everyone has had the console's SDK, and that it's been a while, or long enough to see some relatively complete looking games anyway. Also obviously hoping that the first-party games will be mind-blowingly awesome and that Nintendo in general display a great return to form from a core-gamer perspective.

Missed Sony, but eh looks like I didn't miss much.
So far the awesome:
BF3 MP. I actually cheered seeing the trailer this morning. God damn YES.
PS Vita pricing. Well done Sony, it's actually affordable.
And then there was everything else.
Man this E3 sucks. I had two fillings in one day today and that was more eventful, because I'm done with the dentist for a long time now and that made me happy. Also I was eating porridge while my face was numb and I felt really retarded, it was really amusing especially because I got it dripping down my mouth and onto my jumper.
Anyway bring on Ninty! _________________

If we look at the price, US and Japan will get a good price for PS Vita but not for Europe or Australia.
The 3DS price is around 190-220 pounds, and it is around AUD 328 - 348. But the PS Vita will be priced around 249 - 299 pounds and I am afraid it will be more expensive than the 3DS in Australia.

My hopes is a significant new IP or HD Lylat Wars sequel on the Cafe. _________________

I think everyone is forgetting what's most important from Nintendo...30 player online F-Zero developed by the same team behind GX! _________________
