Just watched the leaked ep7 and this show gets better each episode, cant wait to see the rest of the season. Also gonna buy the books and read them over the wait for season 2.

Watched the episode last night.
That Littlefinger scene with the lesbian porno sex was awful. I know there was a discussion about sex and nudity on this show earlier but I don't know if this scene in particular could be excused. It felt so gratuitous and added nothing to the scene other than two chicks finger banging each other while Littlefinger gave us a little backstory. Wtf. Was that really necessary? Really?
Just thinking about it now makes me cringe. Apart from that, it was another fantastic episode. If you're not fully on board by now, I don't know what else could convince you.

Up to date on these now, except ep 7 which is waiting at home. Such a good series, I have been recommending it to eveyone I know.

I 100% agree, it added nothing to the scene and went on far to long... Also it didn't help when i was watching it i had people over  Bad timing is bad...

To those who have read the book/s... surely they go into a lot more detail yeah?
It seems like all the big moments in this tv show are super compressed into a few seconds to a minute of screen time. I am ready to say, 'wow this is a great show' but the stuff that happens seems to be anti-climax after anti-climax.
Also agree on the latest sex scene. There is simply no need to be that graphic, sure you can have girl on girl action briefly to fill in the story but what they did was embarrassing soft porn and ruins the good show around it.

Yeah there is more lore and a huge amount of depth in the books (which are not by any standards small). An example is all the exposition on the old (the tree/garden in Winterfell) and new gods (the seven they worship in the South) seems to be missing from the show, only referenced in passing.
The TV series is doing a good (if quick) job of covering the main points, but I may be biased as my memory could be filling in any missing pieces

Hahaha I see what you guys meant by ep7's sex scene. Completely superfluous and I'm pretty sure that wasn't in the books. Missus skipped over it but it looked like it went on for a couple of minutes. I'm hoping that's not going to become the norm.

God I hate the Queen and that ugly little Joffrey wanker. All I want is to see those 2 get what's coming to them. All the Lanister's suck! Except I don't mind Imp to the honest. He's a bad guy, but I don't hate him like the others.
Episode 8 should be out soon.

I like the IMP, and although hes on the bad side, i dont think hes a 'bad guy', im actually thinking he might help his enemies.
And joffery pisses the S**T out of me, they replaced one little brat piece of s**t with another.
But, i feel for the story, the king, the starks, everyone.

i wonder how many people here have read the books, and are laughing at our predictions for the series?
i haven't read them, and it's kinda strange, but i almost don't want to, as it'll spoil the series for me. it's a rather odd position to be in since on the other hand, i love reading.
i fear once this season is over, i'll power through the books.

I think he means that he's glad that he is watching the show for the first time because the impact of the show wouldn't be as spectacular if he had read the books.
Obviously it would have been awesome when he'd read it, but not so much now, after the fact.

Yeah but now the book won't be as spectacular and shocking...? (I like books more than TV)
I'm surprised the season is only 10 eps. Seems really short considering how much stuff has happened. Although my memory of the books probably has them running into each other.
