Everytime the error comes up, just go back and try again.

it will happen alot but after alot of pressing X and O, you'll get through.

ARH! Why can't sony upload the most recent version of a game to the PSN store. In the past 2 days I've downloaded 3 games and every one has had an update available as soon as I open it.

I just noticed, thanks to PlayStation Home that there's 3 free movies too:
- Black Hawk Down
- Hostel
- You Don't Mess with the Zohan

Terms of these are: they are 30 day rental and the video can only be played for 48 hours after the first playback.

Kinda crappy... icon_sad.gif

EDIT: Holy crap, Black Hawk Down in HD is 6GB. icon_eek.gif

For the second time my PS3 has choked when I tried to download the GoW Collection. It just stalls at the "preparing" message and I can't do anything. I left it for 30 minutes and it's still "preparing" to download. I tried turning off the PS3 but now it's in a stand-by state (the green power light is blinking) and it won't respond by pressing the power button again. Sony sure knows how to implement a slow and frustrating dashboard experience.

Dear me that doesn't sound healthy.....Slim or Phat?

Oh wait, downloading or installing? If downloading sounds like some server issues!

I had the issue of getting Modnation Racer on the psp, went out, came back just to see I couldn't get another game from the Welcome Back. Got the "No content found" issue. I solved it now but if anyone else had that issue, do the following

Quote:
PlayStation Network > Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List > SCEA Promotions > PSP > Select Content

It's a slim. It was just downloading, I clicked to download them both and it just sat at the "preparing" to download message forever so it hadn't downloaded anything. Anyway I turned it off by the power plug and it seems okay now. I guess I'll wait till the servers are more calm to download 18GB of games...

Well I did have "a lot" of tries at trying to access the games, but for me once I got the download started everything after went smoothly.

Keep in mind you do have quite a bit of time to grab these games, which why I'm in no rush to download everything all at once with my other accounts - I'm not going through that headache again.

I did find getting the PSP games (via my PSPGo) a lot smoother than trying to get the PS3 games - I still got that error message but no where near as much.

Finally decided to download Infamous. I do have it on disc but it's in a backlog of games to play, so I figured if I downloaded it, having it on my dashboard ahead of the sequel would force me to get into it icon_lol.gif

Not sure about the second choice. More than likely it will be Dead Nation.

All you have to do is nominate which games you want, once they are tied to your account you can download them whenever you want. You can also do this without activating your PS+ trial, which I'm personally holding off until the network stabilises a bit to make full use of the 30 days.

Didn't download the main games, but took the advantage of some free playstation plus and got Streets of Rage 2 for free. Sure it'll only be playable for a month, but it was a bit of a blast for an hour.

Streets of Rage 2 feels very slow and unresponsive when I played it. I don't remember it being like that in the Sega Mega Drive Collection.

Yeah, we're stuck on wireless.

I live on Gold Coast's 'rim-hell'. Basically means that I can't get ADSL. Sucks cos I'm in a fucking complex too.

so with this free month of plus - does that start now, and end at the end of June, or do we have a month to sign up, and it'll end one month after whenever we sign up?

not really fussed by anything on the plus program for this month, so if the month lasts from the date of accepting the free month, then i can hold off for as long as possible and see what they give out next month, but if everyone on the Welcome Back pack expires at the end of June, i might as well get what i want from it now.

also, is the Japanese store back up?
i keep getting an error, but i'm not sure if it's because it's still down, or if it's telling me i'm a filthy foreigner and i have dishonoured my family and my ancestors for trying to exploit regions and get Echochrome and The Last Guy for free from there.

from the AU store - i ended up getting Wipeout HD for the Fury xpac (already had the core game) and Dead Nation.
i already have LBP, Q4B and InFamous.
surprisingly pleased with DN. i only grabbed it cos it was the only thing i didn't already have, but it's been quite fun.
not sure whether to exploit the system and get a couple of those again anyway, or just leave them be. (I also already have SSDHD - so no point logging into the US store for that.)

and for PSP, i'll probably get LBP and Modnation Racers. I already have KZL and not really fussed by Pursuit Force, but I guess i may get them two as well anyway via US or EU stores - if i get a new memory stick... 4GB just doesn't cut it anymore...

Had a great time adding all these games to my download lists. Haven't upgraded the hard drive yet, so I'll end up downloading all of these games when I do that.

Got the free PlayStation Plus month through my normal account, along with Dead Nation and WipEout HD with Fury. Used my US account to get Infamous and LBP (already have them on disc). Then grabbed R&C:QFB with my girlfriend's account (AUS), also already owned on disc. Didn't bother getting Super Stardust as I've already bought that through my regular account.

On top of that, I downloaded Modnation Racers and Pursuit Force for my PSP. Already own both LBP and Killzone on UMD, and with rumoured news of new games from both those franchises in development for the NGP, I decided against the digital originals.

And last but not least, got the This is Football Management mini for free thanks to the coke unleashed promotion as well as picking up Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light at half price. From $20 down to $10.

From what I understand, you are given 30 days worth of free PS+ from when you activate it but you only have until July 7 (or whenever the welcome back window closes) to do so.

Thank god for my unlimited internet. Downloaded about 50gb worth of stuff earlier today. It's a good thing that I could use my US account to get the other games that I was unable to get on my main account.

And I got to redeem my GOW code from grim too (Thanks grim). Good day. Now I just need the time to play them all O.o

i guess the next question is, should i bother? how frequently does the PSN+ stuff change? (monthly, quarterly?)

Monthly, although some treats are added every week/fortnight but there are wholescale changes to the content every month.

Anyone know if they are still doing that 15 months for the price of 12 deal? My 1 year sub is nearly up...

How much is it for a yearly subscription to PSN+ anyway? I might just consider subscribing if it isn't too pricy.

It's $70 I think.

Speaking of which, if I upload my save files during the free month of PS+, will they still be in the "PSN Cloud" after the subscription ends? Could I retrieve them if I were to renew my PS+ subscription in the future?
