Complete Red Bull dominance once again. I'm wondering if this is what it felt like during the Schumacher/Ferrari dominance from 2000-2004. _________________

DRS was a bit strong last night. Not the best race I have seen but Webber's overtake was good.

Yeah I thought the DRS made overtaking almost a little too easy. It was like a guaranteed overtake each time. _________________

Yeah, nice combo breaker by Webber. With tyre degradation being such a big deal with this new prime compound, this calls for a really interesting race. I'm speculating a lot of retirements. When I first heard about how badly the tyres were doing, I was afraid a 2005 US GP fiasco might happen.
Webber dominated this race last year. Lets see if he can do it again. _________________

I can't see that happening? The US race was an issue, because there were two tyre suppliers & one failed to meet its commitment, meaning 65% of the field didn't compete. Additionally, the year before Ralf Schumacher went into the wall of the finishing straight & broke his bake. The Michelin tyres of his Toyota failed at that same part of the track the next year. If Perrelli did the same here, they are allowed to fly in tyres because they are the sole tyre supplier. _________________ <iframe src="http://gamercard.xbox.com/Ministry%20Se7en.card" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" height="140" width="204">Put your gamertag here too.</iframe>

Race starts soon. I hope Webber wins!
EDIT: Ugh, vettel again. Bad result for Mark. Heidfeld did well again. My favourite circuit next week!

Geez, 4th win for Vettel. I was hoping Hamilton would get past Vettel as he was cutting the lead down significantly, but at the end, he just couldn't when Vettel's KERS started working again. _________________

Typical Webber choke... :/
Is it me or does he have the worst grid starts this season?

I was surprised to see Alonso fall back significantly after doing so well in the first half of the race. I'm quite excited for Monaco next weekend. _________________

I love Monaco. Hasn't been much crashes for while on the track and Monaco is one of the most dangerous tracks.

Sergio Perez had a nasty crash during Q3, but I'm glad he's okay. Unfortunately, Vettel gets pole again and Hamilton could only get in one lap and qualified poorly in the top 10.
I'm surprised the teams use such late strategies especially when red flags have ruined chances of qualifying in a good spot. _________________

I hope Perez is ok, he's been looking really good this year.

Perez is okay. He has a sprained leg from what I remember hearing. Nico Rosberg could have suffered that same accident during practice but barely missed the barrier and continued safely onto the track. It just shows how much safety in Formula One has improved. Wendlinger back in 94 had the same accident, but suffered greater injuries. Jenson Button several years back also suffered an accident which prevented him from racing that weekend.
I'm sure Hamilton would have got pole position if he got in two hot laps as his times were faster than Vettel in Q1 and Q2. It seems like the only ones who really seem a threat to Vettel are the McLaren boys especially Hamilton. _________________

Intense race. Vettel wins yet again. He got very lucky with that red flag near the end as his tyres were about to go. _________________

Missed half the race but tuned in just in time to see the fireworks. Shame about the red flag. I really was looking forward to that battle. And Webber pulling a Kobayashi on Kobayashi was sweeeet.
Dammit Vettel. Why are you so good. _________________

I'm amazed Vettel kept his tyres going for so long. I really thought he was gonna make another pit stop with around 40th-50th lap. I hope Canada is different. The McLarens tend to really shine in that race. _________________

All I have to add to what has already been said is: Screw you, Hamilton. Stop whinging. The judges aren't biased, you ruined two other racers days (especially Maldonado's), you deserve whatever penalties you get.

Awesome race, much more interesting than the previous couple. Hamilton was silly but at least he was giving it a go and making things interesting! Webber was pretty ordinary except for his move on Kobyashi at the end.
Things just seem to always go Vettels way at the moment. Safety car then red flag right when his tyres should have started to go.
And Canada is always brutal on the tyres, so expect it to be more so on the Pirelli's. _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82

I could understand Hamilton's frustration as his entire weekend was an absolute disaster. After his failure to post a Q3 time he just seemed to lose his nerve. Having an incompetent pit stop and being involved in 3 incidents I'm sure would have broken any driver.
I'm certain that "Because I'm Black" comment Hamilton made wasn't genuine and he was mostly joking when he said that. Just too much frustration it seems, but I do think he should have kept some of those comments to himself.
While Hamilton was obviously at fault for the incident regarding Maldanado, Massa was at fault for that other incident. Hamilton had Massa on the inside and if you look at the line Massa took at the hairpin compared to the guys in front of him, he cut in far too early. If you look at the footage, Massa's right front wing clips Webber's left rear tyre and Massa ends up damaging his car. One could argue that Hamilton pushed Massa into Webber, but Massa took the wrong line and Hamilton had no where to go. Massa could have possibly taken out Webber with that move. As much I like Massa, he paid for his sloppy defending when he went off in the tunnel.

The McLarens have performed really well in Canada and I'm hoping someone besides Vettel takes a victory. Vettel dodged a bullet in Spain and he did it again in Monaco. Yes, his driving and tyre conservation were brilliant, but that red flag really saved him because he had brand new option tyres put on. If it weren't for that Alonso would have most likely won at Monaco. Strategy was key also. If Jenson was able to get out in front from his pit stop, he would have easily won, but I don't think anyone expected Vettel to do a one-stop strategy. _________________

Yeah Pirelli are calling for a ban to changing tyres on the grid during a red flag. Good idea.
I dont think even RBR were planning on doing a 1 stopper, maybe after their first stop balls up with their 2 cars they decided not to risk it _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82

I read they gave the wrong tyres to Vettel on his stop because of a radio fault, and they reckon the way he was driving he could have gone to the end without the red flag. That would have been very impressive if he did.

I'm glad Pirelli are calling for a ban. That really made the end of Monaco anti-climatic and ruined what was an intense battle between three world champions.

It seemed like many of the teams were just doing on-the-fly strategies because a lot of drivers had some pretty poor pit stops. Regarding the end, it could have been different if the drivers weren't allowed to change tyres during the red flag with the tyres losing heat and having different stages of tyre wear. _________________
