So, should I be playing this or replaying Witcher 1 first?
I'm tempted to replay Witcher 1 while I wait for some patches to come out for Witcher 2...

Has pretty good depth of field, haven't seen it that good on any console games. It is a bit jaggy, but I have high standards coming from a PC master race _________________

Good lord. |
I so want this to be confirmed true.
Will it have all good unedited scenes in it?

It would be the same as the pc version, which was barely edited anyway - just a single quest reward.

See now I feel bad, because I photoshopped that image from an image I took :troll:
But in seriousness though, I really do hope this makes it on consoles. This game really needs more exposure and every gamer deserves to play it. _________________

If true, I hope it comes out for consoles in time for an R18+ aussie rating.

Nice one! I believed. Not a bad estimate for how it would look. _________________

The game would be severely limited because of the technical aspects of consoles. Texture res would be far, FAR lower and jaggies would definitely be there.
I mean I doubt it'd look THAT blurry, but it certainly wouldn't be able to touch the clarity of the PC version assuming it does come to consoles. _________________

I agree, it certainly won't have that same appeal too.

Denny, should I replay Witcher 1 first before Witcher 2? Does the save game import make a difference?

It adds some cool stuff in, but nothing super major. It'll give you your weapons and set of armour at the beginning and add some minor dialogue with certain characters you encounter, otherwise it's not mandatory. _________________

Hmm...
I'm tempted to replay Witcher 1. I never played it with the Enhanced Edition. Also, CDP are great post release supporters of their games so the game should be more polished in the months to come. Hmm... and I can barely remember what happened in Witcher 1

Installed Catalyst 11.5b hotfix drivers for full Crossfire support.
Behold, 60fps Vsynced Witcher 2 with Ubersampling:
My God.
Admittedly, it does crush the framerate in very dense areas, can hit about 30-35, but it's mostly quite stable and hnnnng. _________________

That looks amazing. It supports DX11 with tessellation, right? I wonder if my 6950 can run at max, probably not.

There's only one console that could easily handle this game, but at the same time be an unlikely candidate for a port.

Nope DX9 only atm. Devs want to add DX11 features in sometime later, and I'm fine with that considering how insane it looks.
Also I'll be blunt: you can't run ubersampling with that card. Only CFX setups and beefed up systems such as that are capable, and even then it crushes framerates at certain points. Ultra though? Should be doable.

There is no console that can handle this game at high detail. Like, no way. _________________

You know what's awesome, this game has brought back the acronym "RTFM".
If I were a game developer that would be my tutorial mission, just some dude sitting on a couch, opening up his game box and then reading the booklet inside.

Its funny to me that you think 30-35fps is a "crushed framerate" I guess this is why you have to upgrade all the time? _________________
