Simple, am keen to see if there are any car enthusiast amongst the nerds.
You do not have to be an enthusiast, i just wanted to sound cultured.
i'll start, Currently own a 1997 saab 900s convertible 2lt turbo. Stock specs except : k&n CAI (did improve hp and torque, dynoed showed it), laser iridium spark plugs, high output leads, slightly bigger turbo, 7500k HID light conversion, 2.5 cat-back exhaust, Keenwood head unit, pioneer sub and amp
Let's see em
Machamp eagerly awaits

I'm sitting here looking at that title and trying to figure out where the "project" comes in. Anyone feel like enlightening me? _________________

I think there is a thread similar somewhere...anyway I'll post up the same pic of my ride I posted there:
Lancer VRX 2008. Stock standard with the optional "sun and sound" package (i.e. sunroof and sub woofer).
I was never a Lancer man and was leaning more towards the Honda Accord Euro but after seeing the this car, I fell in love with it.
I'm definitely eye-ing an Evolution as my next car

Project car means for example someone who is building or modifying a car of their own. _________________

I found the old thread.
| theory wrote: | My first car (bought in 99) was a 94 TS Magna Auto. Here's what happened to it in late 2005...

Would have been a head-on collision if I didn't swerve the car to take most of the impact myself (my ex-gf was in the passenger seat). A (non-English speaking) lady thought she was above the law and thought she'd turn into me while I was crossing an intersection. Thank God we lived, that's all I can say. Please listen to Spanca's advice regarding being a witness in these situations. A great bystander came and gave me his number which ended up helping a lot.
Anyway, I got paid out about $2000 from insurance. Sucked big time. Whatever though, I upgraded to this:
1999 Magna Sports V6 3.5 Auto with triptronic.
Don't be fooled. It hasn't been that clean since the day I bought it and took that photo. It goes alright though I don't take good care of my cars and it is way past due for a service. Half way through reinstalling my sound system stuff at the moment. The lack of music is evil. |

I drive a manual 2006 MY05 Subaru Liberty GT.
This is how it looked like as stock when I first purchased it in March 2010;
And this is how it looks like now;
Mods so far:
- 18" Subaru Club Spec 9 wheels. These are the same that the JDM versions of my car have.
- HKS Panel filter
- Philips HID kit 6000k
- Custom mesh grill
- Ultrex boot spoiler
- STI front lip
- Clarion EA1251 iPod adapter
- Bilstein shocks and struts
- Tien S-Tech springs custom made specifically AU Liberties with Bilsteins are of a contact who deals with them directly. Dropped the car about 1.5", making it look nice and clean, handles like a dream.
-Prova intake guide
Mods which are in the works.
- Turbo back exhaust sytem. Already have a custom made dump pipe made specifically for the 2.0 turbo Liberty. I just need to save up for a 3" AVO centre pipe and waiting to pounce on a set of PHAT Quad exhausts.
- Whiteline front strut brace and rear sway bar.
- ECU or similar tune once the turbo back exhaust system has been fitted. Should be looking at around 160-180kw atw...hopefully. _________________

Not the best photo but a shot from when I drove from Melbourne to Sydney, finally getting to Sydney and parking it in the Hostels car park.

I don't think you can claim bogan status while driving a VW. _________________

No, you just have a poor taste in cars.
I've got a manual champaign coloured Toyota Rav4 (2000). After 11 years on the road the only things that's needed changing have been the clutch and the tires.
Looking to upgrade to something a lot nicer once I'm on my full-license.
