sorry man, you made it sound like you just wanted to find out more information about it, didn't realize you actually finish the game. Its been ages since I've actually played the game but did you end up taking the good path or the bad part. I ended up doing the good path cause I wanted the awesome sword part you get after you finish that path. Did you end up doing all the optional side quest like the village across the lake or not.
I didn't realize the 2nd game was canceled because of the quake. After all, there was a trailer that came out about 5 years ago and nothing since so I thought it was canceled ages ago. Well there is a PSP game which I haven't tried yet so you can always play that.
| Robo wrote: | Haha, I wish I had justice shield, would probably have a lot more easier bounty/boss fights. Anyway I did manage to obtain the yellow crystal and then I continued onto about 5 hours later.
I'll do a more detailed post about it on friday or saturday as fairly busy again (mid-years and a lot of SACs are coming), so yeah...
Oh yeah my Swashbuckler rating rose like a phoenix, throughout getting the yellow crystal and afterwards. I was really thankful for it as I've wanted to take on Mr. Impostor for approximately 4 or so years. I think Skies was my best impulse purchase ever, I just saw and went "pirates and sky ships" and had to buy it. |
Having played the game a little bit more and now that I up to heading towards the Great Silver Shrine after the revelation at the headquarters, so now I know what you mean in regards to not have justice shield.
I just want to say though, when you are looking for Fina's ship in the dark place which I won't mention, how long did it take you to find the ship because I had to fight about ten of those god damn fishes before I found it and not to mention my cannons kept missing which was annoying the hell out of me.
Sounds that you are really enjoying it, I admit its a great game but I think that you are enjoying it just a little bit more than me.

The amount of units you can choose is insane. I counted at least 30 and supposedly more unlock over time? I think Edy is my favorite so far . |
When it comes to Edy, why does everyone love her so much. I don't know because when I tried to use her on the car mission, she really didn't help out. Personally I prefer to use Vyse and Rosie as my shocktroppers, because they didn't have any negative potential compared to her; also wise, I reckon Freesia is better, well that and she was a bloody beast in one mission, who just wouldn't go down.

I'm having some major issues with mission 7 in Valkyria Chronicles. The tank barely ever fires it's cannon so I can't attack the radiators until it's right on the doorstep of my final camp. Then when I actually do destroy all the radiators this silver haired woman comes into the battle and kills all my units. Also the game said to destroy those "ruin walls" with an anti-tank unit, well I fired on them with a lancer and it did nothing . |
welcome to what i believe is the hardest mission in the game =) I think you use grenades to destroy those walls. I vaguely remember having Rosie sneak around and throwing grenades to clear them. I kept my tank allllllll the way at the end of the map for that mission to keep it out of danger. |
and yes the desert mission was probably the hardest mission in the game, also something I'd noticed in that mission was that "silver haired woman" only goes after the lancers in this mission so as long as they kept their distances she won't go after them.
Also guys, I thinking of getting into Demon Souls after I finish Bayonetta but do you all have the NTSC version or the PAL version just in case I decide to go online. _________________ Currently Playing : Atelier Iris 2 (PS2), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Legend of Heroes : Trails of the Sky (PSP), 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

Edy definitely doesn't feel that great to use. She starts to panic if you run into the frontlines and that's the entire point of a shocktrooper, to handle the heavy stuff. Rosie seems heaps better to me and her "big sister" potential activates heaps. Edy is too cute to leave behind though so I bring her along anyway, just gotta be careful with her.
I own the NTSC-US version of Demon's Souls. I think it's a bit more populated than the EU version. If you ever want to team up then I'm up for it. My witch is around level 32 I think. I'm probably a tad rusty now .

yeah you have to pull an all nighter if you want to play online with PAL. No europeans on during our afternoon/evenings. Also yeah that Edy potential is annoying but not as annoying as Susie's humanitarian one... like you go up to a shocktrooper she decides she doesn't want to pull the trigger and it's your last move for the turn.... not good =p Edy is still so hilarious at the start of her DLC though, does the whole anime woman "oh-ho-ho-ho!" laugh XD _________________

She killed my party in one hit .
What do you guys think of Trinity Universe? Looks similar to Hyperdimension Neptunia.
Edit: Listening to Ec Tisia on the Hymmnos Concert album, it's wonderful.

You'll have to do level 1 of Tyria's cosmosphere to get the true ending (well, Finnel's at least).
Pagan: As for Trinity Universe, it's the game which Neptunia is a modified version of. I liked it much more than Neptunia, partly because it has characters that I know and like from NISA's games. _________________

How about the morning for Demon's Soul, what time do you roughly reckon they would all stop playing. Also thank for the offer Oropher and Pagan but I still got to finish Bayonetta first but depending on which version I get, I might hold you guys to your offers. _________________ Currently Playing : Atelier Iris 2 (PS2), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Legend of Heroes : Trails of the Sky (PSP), 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

I was like when Tyria began to sing Cosmoflips.
I didn't use a guide for the treasure trophy and I still got it. The final treasure chest is at the very end of the game past the point of no return. I ran through every area again just to double check and found I missed one in the Tower of Origin. I also picked up a bunch of talk topics along the way that must have appeared after getting Tyria (go back to the Monk's house, I found like 4 talk topics in there).

The morning in Australia is around early evening in the US so it would be the most active then. I was playing around the afternoon and it was fairly active.

The guide covers the full game and sidequests, it is rather succinct but it's definitely usable.
If you've seen the EE of TW1 you'll know what to expect. _________________

I wasn't a big fan of Neptunia and my knowledge of NISA games is pretty low. I still want to get it though because there aren't many RPG's to choose from on the PS3.

I wasn't a big fan of Neptunia either, but I really like Trinity Universe. Maybe it was just the characters and story, but I found it much more enjoyable. _________________

Neptunia has somewhat more of a story, not by much, Trinity Universe is just really silly stuff and the theme song is just overused -_- but to me they are pretty much 80% identical games. If you don't like Neptunia it's hard for me to recommend Trinity. Managraphs makes the battle system slightly better than Neptunia though. _________________

Okay update on Skies of Arcadia,
I hated those Stingray fish things, at 1st I figured it was a boss battle for getting it wrong. But then it happened multiply times, didn't help that half my shots were completely missing. So yeah after a bunch of soft resets, I got what I came for.
Spoilers till Silver shrine
| Quote: | The battle with De Loco was unexpected, it was quite a battle. That crazy guy using a harpoon cannon, to do his best to finish things. He was a good mad scientist and stopped at nothing to achieve his goals.
The destruction of your base was quite a twist too, forcing everyone to help each other out and rebuild was cool too.
What I liked most of that part was Ramirez's flashback to the people he meet in Valua, the exact same upper class Valuan you see/talk too early on. Which allows you to see why he has a strong hatred of people. |
I was impressed by the shrine, it was nicely done.
On TWEWY i'm up to the final 3rd of the game and trying to get the reaper sports down. I've had a bit of luck with pins too, I got a pin that creates a barrier of water and heals Getting used to split screen finally.
So little time, I guess.

What's with the accuracy in VC? Largo must be blind folded because he's missed a tank that was pretty much in point blank range. Then there are the enemy snipers that can headshot one of my characters from the other side of the map. Just before in chapter 12, I had the rear radiator of my tank literally sticking out by an inch or two and one of the anti-tank cannons got a direct hit killing Welkin instantly.

at least they did it better than the Valkyria Chronicles anime, they just turned the game into a soap opera in the anime <_< Accuracy in VC has nothing to do with positioning of your gun like in FPS games, it's more to do with a calculated value to do with your accuracy stat and enemy's evasion stat.
Anyway... at the end of AT3 now. At 70 hours x_X Decided to take a break from last place/boss after doing third optional Akane battle. Had to do a 500 000% burst flipshere to beat her, deserve a trophy for that <_> I can see why male otakus in Japan were calling for an Akane DLC which lets you play as her. They probably also wanted hug pillows of her. _________________
