Pretty much every major retailer has updated the release date of LA Noire to Thursday 19th, by the way.

I was going to get LA Noire, but hearing about DLC already in the pipe, I'm thinking of sitting it out until a GOTY edition is released. That or borrowing it from someone else.

Started The Witcher 2 at 6am this morning (after downloading it overnight from Direct2Drive) and have LA Noire pre-ordered. I've been looking forward to both of these games for ages ... they should keep me occupied for quite some time. Goodbye social life ... see you in a month or two!

does anyone else get really excited for some games up to the release then when they come out you just stop giving a shit and don't feel like buying it? That's how I'm feeling towards LA Noir, went on a media black out for it cause I was excited and didn't want anything ruined for me. Now it's coming out I don't even know if I want to buy it.

I swore I wouldn't ever buy another Rockstar game after Red Dead. After a while both GTA and RDR lead me to the same kind of boredom. I'm not hot on their mission structure - Fallout and AC are sandboxes that work for me, and despite the gooD ratings I'm never charmed by RS games. I'm curious about LA, but not sold.

Rockstar are just publishing LA Doppel, they're not actually the ones making it. It's being made by Team Bondi in Sydney.
Man this is going to be like the video game version of Nightmare Before Christmas isn't it?
