I am jjust not sure what to do regarding my PSN account. Hopefully it will be OK and Sony will ask for old password before allowing someone to set new password and update. I guess they have to assume that anyone could have the old password so there will need to be some step to verify identities.
All my game saves are gone which is pretty depressing.
I gave the serial no to the police but I still hold no hope of ever getting it back. _________________

I'm basically in the same boat as you, mine was stolen along with a bunch of other stuff on monday. Except i didn't keep a record of the serial number, outside of the online hardware registration, which i can't get into until whenever psn is back up. So good thing you kept your serial number. You might get lucky, the thieves might hock it or something.
If you haven't done it already, I'd suggest calling cash converters with the police report number and the serial number. And then, all the other pawnshops you find in your yellow pages. With cash converters, i was told they enter the details of the stolen items into the system and it goes out to all their stores. If you don't call cash converters, it can take up to a week, but the police will find it if they sell/hock it there (police records of stolen item serial numbers and cash converters recently bought stock serial numbers are cross-referenced once/wk). Not sure how other pawnshops work, if they're the same or what.
It sucks about the game saves hey.
With your psn account, i spoke to a sony rep about that today. If you're locked out of your account when psn comes back, give them a call on 1300365911 and tell them your situation, they'll ask you your secret questions and sort it out for you.
Good luck mate, i hope they catch the pricks.

Thanks for the advice. I will call Cashies for sure. I also have the list of all 20 games they stole with it. And thanks for info re PSN. That's been worrying me. Sorry to hear yours has also been stolen. Hope PSN is back up soon so you can get the serial number.
All those hours I put into Red Dead, FF, Arkham, GT5 etc gone. it sucks big time for sure. Thoughtless thugs. _________________

I am not hopeful. They took the HDMI cable as well. But oddly they didn't take the controller. So unless they have a controller from another robbery it will be difficult to sell it. So maybe they are just using it themselves or something. _________________

ha! They took both my controllers, but left the hdmi cable. They only took games that were in my game rack too. Left 3 that were sitting loose in the same room. From my coffee table, they took a sheet of anti-depressants, a bank savings/eftpos keycard, a $2 coin, and left 2x $1 coins.
Very random. They must've been so shit scared, the gutless cunts, that they were in a huge rush, incase the owner came back.

Robbers are mental, I once had 2 pence stolen out of my car in England.
Like the stereo I understand, the cufflinks a bit weird but the 2, 2 pence coins???

I had my car broken into in Jesmond, Newcastle a few years back. Smashed the drivers side window which was annoying....and for their trouble, they took the spare change out of the ash tray. Like 70 or 80 cents.
Left the stereo, $200 shoes, $150 basketball, 100 odd CD's and my uni backpack with about $1000 worth of texts in it. Drug fucked people are very narrow minded. _________________

I had my car broken into twice in the same month a few years back. They completely dismantled my steering wheel and screwed up the keyhole to the ignition (trying to get it started?) but they never got away with it. Did find pieces of my steering wheel lying around and about 20 burnt cd's spread out all over the street... lol, guess they were pissed that even the CD's they stole were worth as much as what's probably in their bank account.
I swear, I wake up to nightmares of returning to my home to find all of my belongings being stolen. Like my $4,000 TV, PS3, Xbox 360, Bluray surround sound system etc.
