Yeah actually I'm quite curious to see how some of the characters will age since it will be 17 years down the track.
Who's going to make the cut and who isn't. Who has kids, well obviously Sophitia's kid Patroklos will be in it, wonder if his sister Pyrrha will make an appearance. I would image a number of these characters would be in thier 30's/40's - except the "supernatural ones" Nightmare, Cervantes, Astaroth, etc.

I'm hoping they cut the returning cast by 1/2 from IV and have a bunch of ones ones. I love a lot of the characters in SC but I think in III and IV they were scrapping the barrel.

The only character I'd want returning from after 2 is Hildegard. She was awesome.
Also I hope we get a better fencer. Raphaels fighting style never really felt like fencing.

My peronal must have returning character list:
Sophitia, Voldo, Ivy(.)(.), Raph, Kilik, Cervantes, Lizardman, Mitsurugi Nightmare, Siegfried...
And probably Maxi/Taki for the fast rushdown characters
EDIT: They said that cameo characters will reappear - hmm I hope they continue with the starwars characters.. need some more though...
What other franchise would work as well as starwars??

I tend to agree. The Starwars cross over was rubbish. I'm happy enough to leave out special guest characters.

From a business perspective, starwars characters in the game would have boosted sales by a pretty big margin.
I don't think Blizzard would lbe up for SCV, and face facts, Siegfried is pretty much Arthus

Pretty major difference being Siegfried was a crazy murderous fucker before he got the sword. The closest thing Arthas had to that before he got frostmourne was the culling of stratholme which only seems crazy and blood thirsty if you haven't played WC 3.
But yeah I'm kinda with leon on this one, stop wasting time on separate characters for each console and spend that time making 1 great new characters.

I do agree with you in that it was pretty dodgy and it would be best to stay away from starwars and other cross over characters.. I'm not a big stawars fan so It didn't do much for me anyways...

Xianghua and Seong Mi-na must be included in this game. Any girl that can handle a stick as good as Seong Mi-na, is a definite winner in my books.
In all seriousness though, they were good balanced characters. Them two, Siegfried and Maxi were my favourite. Honourable shout out goes to Voldo simply for that move where he launches an enemy by crawling and humping the air.

honestly I think it would be cool if they just dropped all the old characters (Cept for Sigfried, Mitsurugi and Taki, wouldn't be soul calibur without em) and did all new characters. Kind of like SF 3.

MCFT B+K <3 I had strings chaining into the hump juggle. Was so spaz out epic.
I only knew one other person who used Voldo in my time with SC (particularly SC2). Everyone else hated the dude, and I freaked people out with him cos I knew every stance like the back of my hand.

But it looks like Nightmare (or some form) is still in the game which is stupid. REBOOT it NAMCO!

I see everyone is saying who better be in the game weell for me if Ivy isn't in the game there's deffinitely the chance I won't buy it.She's my main and the only character I really give a damn about.
For me I like a character based on the character themself and not how good they fight.
