People do that to affect world tendancy, or, to go into soul form and be less vulnerable to invaders earlier in the game yeah?

I do it to affect the WT. You darken a World if you die in physical form, but if you die in spiritual form, it is not affected.

Does this one have proper co-op? Or is it the same as the co-op in DS?
Id love the ability to play through the game from start to finish with a mate, would make it much more fun.

What you need is mozilla
Go to this website http://preparetodie.com (official dark souls website)
put in your birthday and go to next page now what you do next is enter what i have quoted in the address bar over the original link. This will light up a rune on the website. Now click on it once and follow the next one and click and continue.
ALSO do not click on the same one that you have clicked on before

If you refuse to use mozilla you can do it via google chrome but its harder:
Follow this
Using Chrome
Be on the page after you enter the birth date..
Go to developer tools
Go to console tab type "mg" in console and press enter
One object will show up, open object, open settings, open solveKeys
Copy those keys to notepad
Go to elements tab in tool
Type gly-# in search
Hover over element it selects - element will also be highlighted on the page
Click that glyph on the page
Repeat for all 30 keys
Also if you screw up just clear history
I hope i have explained it well enough...

I don't get it. I put in a birthday and then it took me to the main page. What quoted thing do I put in the address bar? I put "javascript:var n = function() {setInterval(mg.hint, 2000)}; n()" and it did nothing then tried adding onto the end of the site url and it says page not found.
Edit: Nevermind, I wasn't looking hard enough  .
