I wonder how hard it would be for them to track you down. Likely not very hard. Though you did say you don't have ID, which gives you a slight advantage.

Now I feel like watching Enemy of the State.

Peeping TomTom sells your every move

http://www.afr.com/p/business/technology/peeping_tomtom_sells_your_every_JdzlTffqhtoLHSPRGIvq0J

TomTom are putting details collected by their GPS units up for auction very soon... which the government could use to set speed traps on highly used roads.

GG, Big Brother!

I had a teacher in high school who used to say the same thing (that women dress "sluttily" and then complain when they are raped)... but he didn't just say it as a passing comment... he went on about it, and imitated the voice of a woman complaining that she was raped, and stuff.

And as far as I remember, everyone, even the girls, were laughing. As far as I remember anyway.

I don't really understand the cause... they say it started because someone made that type of remark... and then there were girls in the video walking around in slutty clothing, and saying they were "taking the word back to remove its power" - huh? Is everyone else as confused as these girls seem to be?

It's because a police representative made that comment in regards to sexual assault.

Yeah, ok, awesome. I'm still confused as to why the fuck they would walk around with their tits out to protest against that.

Did you read my first post on the subject? I don't understand the cause because the people talking on the video went off on tangents. Then again, that's probably just the media being crap. Either way, I don't see how it helps to overdo it with the slutty dressing. Nobody is walking around with their tits out normally.

In other news, Microsoft buys Skype for $8.5 billion.

icon_eek.gif Well, they did rake in $62 billion in profit last year, I guess they can afford it.

The unfortunately large contingent of people who think if a chick was raped while dressing slutty she deserved it.

The argument is usually framed like this:

If a lady dresses herself in a way that is intended to attract the attention of men, then she cannot complain when she receives that attention.

Counter argument:

Since we live in a free society people may wear whatever they please, provided they do not cause offence.

Of course these argument usually ignore the element of behaviour, which is probably more important. Compare a lady who goes to a movie, after which see eats an ice cream and catches a train home, with one who has 15 cruisers an pashes 8 dudes on the dacefloor at Revolver. Regardless of how they dress, their behaviour leads to a distinct difference in the likelihood of sexual harrasment occuring.

On a related point this **** case from earlier in the year provides an interesting read. Note the reference to thigh-high boots.

edit: for crying out loud, r.a.p.e is censored?

Well, that's bad..

Also regarding slut talk; dress how you want, just as you would dance, eat, talk how you want, etc. Freedom of rights really.

But if you're going to wear clothing that is sexually provoking and you're going to act like an absolutely gigantic flirt towards everyone, drink and sometimes hook up with randoms..don't expect your chances of being sexually harassed/raped being lowered.

Some people are just evil enough to go for that and sexually provocative clothing certainly paints a red target for bulls.

Depending on what kind of **** you're talking about (Date **** vs Violent ****) one is sexual the other is more a crime of power and intimidation.

I thought the opposing argument was more being raped is pretty fucking different to receiving attention.

Here is Lord Triesmans allegations against fifa members, gee what a surprise, and gee i wonder why we didn't (and never will) get the world cup.

Quote:
Issa Hayatou: The Cameroonian head of the African football confederation CAF. Alleged to have received $1.5 million to vote for Qatar.

Jacques Anouma: Ivorian named as financial advisor and ally of deposed dictator Laurent Gbagbo, he is also alleged to have been the recipient of $1.5million to vote for Qatar.

Jack Warner: FIFA vice-president and head of Caribbean football. Alleged to have asked for cash to build an education centre and £500,000 to buy World Cup TV rights for the earthquake-hit nation Haiti.

Nicolas Leoz: Head of South American football from Paraguay, who asked Triesman for a knighthood to go along with his Legion D'Honneur and various other awards and honours.

Worawi Makudi: The FIFA member from Thailand is said to have wanted the TV rights to a friendly between England and the Thai national team.

Ricardo Terra Teixeira: Brazil's football chief and head of the 2014 World Cup organising committee. In a conversation about Brazil's president Lula, Teixeira told Triesman: ''Lula is nothing - you come and tell me what you have for me.''

Amos Adamu: Nigerian FIFA member who was banned for three years by FIFA's executive committee for soliciting World Cup bribes as part of the Sunday Times undercover investigation. Is challenging the ban with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Reynald Temarii: From Tahiti, the then head of the Oceania confederation was banned for one year for breaching FIFA rules following the Sunday Times investigation.
