I dunno I like the colour ones. Something is almost surreal about the first colour shot. Almost looks like a video game to me.
Was mucking about in my garden yesterday. I like these two I took the most. Rain is an acceptable substitute for dew it seems.

Yeah Bioshock, that's exactly what it looks like
I guess it's the really warm look of the wood. Everything is so cold and clinical with metal, plastic and glass these days, not often you have full wood panelling. _________________

I think certain shots look better one way or the other. Don't get me wrong, though, they all look great to me. I prefer the colour shot for the first and the b&w for the second. Jealous of your find man, seems an awesome place to take pics! _________________

Black and White or Colour?
think im leaning towards B&W... |
Hey man - amazing work (id love to know where this yard is)
Can i suggest a combination of the two??? I sort of went and slapped them together - feel free to get me to take the below down (i know i shouldnt mess with other peoples stuff). I loved the contrast of the black and white - yet liked the tones of the colour... so yeah - tried to capture them both:

I definitely prefer the black and white ones but I think that's more to do with the fact that I've never been a fan of your colour scheme, you take some amazing shots but I'm a very "real" imagery kind of guy, and your shots have a surrealism to them that I'm not a fan of.
The merged image looks like a painting, which is pretty awesome.

Hey Shadow
As you will probably notice when you look at a lot of my stuff i tend to merge and tweak alot. What i did with your shot was layer the colour version over the top of the black and white one... I then messed around with the overlay options (darken, multiply, overlay, screen, etc)... Cant remember which one i went with exactly (i do more or less everything on the fly), but yeah, i picked one that let the deep blacks and contrast show through - then reduced the opacity on the colour layer just to bring the colours back a bit giving it a bit more of a grey wash
Often when i stuff around with my pictures i layer black and white over colour - or sepia over colour - then black and white over that... in the end you end up with a deeper brown grade with really strong blacks
All you really need to get your head around is layers and overlay settings in the layer tab
Hit me up if you ever need a hand
Edit: The motorbike shot on the last page is a good example of the colour - sepia - black and white thing

those shots are a mix of strobe and light paint. cars looking better. carbon lip, bigger cooler, new jap rims, evo 9 rear bar. just need to get some suspension mods and it's pretty much finished
Here's some non- light painted work...

If you were to post that last one in amongst some screenshots for Gran Turismo 5 I wouldn't have been able to pick it. It's that freaking good. _________________

took the D7000 out for a test @ vivid sydney. No tripod used. Low light performance test. It is pretty freaking good. All shots handheld. There are some shots not super sharp but nothing a return with a tripod won't remedy. Noise = non existant? Amazing camera.
if you're in sydney, totally worth going to circular quay to check this out. _________________

Pleasure.. was near the exhibition halls today and decided to take a look. Entry fee was less than $8AUD... including a free shuttle bus between the two separate locations.
It's all OEM stuff really.. but there was a lot of good stuff to see still. _________________
