I'm nearly halfway through the challenge tower. Thank goodness players are allowed to skip challenges by paying their way out. Quite a few of them are the same challenge. They're not difficult by any means, but just tedious.

Are all characters unlocked from the get-go btw, or do they have to be unlocked?

Not sure if that has been mentioned in the thread yet, but yeah curious, my order should arrive sometime next week.

^Fantastic, thanks for that Zero. I've been having a look at a video playlist of some dude playing through the story mode and it seems pretty sweet. That and unlocking Quan Chi for his SMASH YOUR OWN FACE xray will be totally worth it.

I'm glad to see his fatality has remained the same from MK4 as well. Lose my s**t every time.

If anyone has ordered from 365games.co.uk, I'm curious to know when you guys receive your copy.

The Easter weekend has borked things up... my copy despatched on 20 April, but I'm not expecting it until at least early May

I'll give word when / if my copy arrives safely through customs.

They are both in the standard roster; the retailer-exclusives are just 'klassic' costumes (and 'klassic' fatalities), which will undoubtedly be DLC.

I've played this for about 30 minutes, so by no means an extended play time, but so far, it feels like the old school MKs. Also looks nice in 3D

One thing I have picked up is that there seems to be a lack of 'umph' when landing a blow on an opponent.

Not huge on fighting games, but I've had a sweet spot since MK4 on N64, it was like contraband, all the other kids would come over and play it. much to the disgust of their own and my own parents.

Good times.

Quan Chi for the win, best times were had with his and Reptile's Fatalities.

Went with GAME.co.uk, 37.94 GBP delivered.
