A simple woot will suffice.

'Woot!'

Chrono and a few more Final Fantasy's are on their way it would seem. icon_smile.gif

It probably will. A few months ago the European Playstation Blog posted the approval process for PS1 Classics for Europe, and one of the issues was that there never were actual PAL copies of some games to put on the store.

I have Chrono Trigger on DS, but I'm happy that FFVI is finally coming to PSN - I know it's just out on VC but this way I'll be able to play it portably (FFVI Advance is so hard to find for a decent price!).

I really wish sony would update psone classics to support trophies. Even if it's half-arsed, like just a single platinum for completing the SP or whatever. Otherwise, I don't really see the appeal if you already have the original game and a PC with epsxe.

The PSX port of Chrono Trigger was great though. Awesome game to begin with, but the framerate is better than the SNES version in places, plus it has the added anime-styled cutscenes.

^ Oh no he di'int!

This news doesn't really excite me as i've put 60 hours+ getting all the endings and completing the DS Version (apparently the definitive version) 100%... that said though, hopefully this will be a stepping stone in the right direction for Chrono Cross to be released on PSN, which i never played and heard so much about

excitement!

Disagree about the greatness. It added loading time in and out of menus, and you'd be accessing those a hell of a lot. I was so excited to get it, being a huge CT fan and utterly in love with my PSX at the time, but I just couldn't play through the game like that - it was massively frustrating.

I haven't had a lot of experience with other PSN 'classics' from the PSX though, so if running it like that off the HDD negates that disc-search time that you'd get hitting up the menus, then I'll be all over this ASAP.

I vaugley remember there was loading time going in and out of combat as well wasn't there? Unless they fix that stuff up the DS is still gunna be the best version of the game.

Hope they end up doing Cross though,

I wouldn't be at all surprised were that the case - I onloy remember the menu loads though, it really stuck in my craw.

I wish that my PSX still worked, I've been wanting to play Cross again for ages. Alas, it is NTSC so I can't bung it in the PS2/3...

My copy had a scratch in the cd that made it freeze during one of the FMV's When the dragons get resurrected and I never got to play past that.

Worst place to freeze -_-
