The game that you own, have never played, but want to.

Back when I was a kid I was lucky enough to have a Megadrive and a Super Nintendo but I only had around 5 games for them each that I played over and over and over. Now being older, games can cost roughly 1 hours salary and although I don't class myself as a hardcore gamer I now own a few games that I've never played.

I want to play these games but am still on games I've bought before. After getting 3 more games from GAME for $3 earlier this week, plus getting Undead Nightmare today it made me realise I still had other unfinished games to play and some games I haven't even started.

So the game I want to play the most that I own is

Radiant Historia.

Awesome looking game for the DS, but getting the 3DS means I'm spending all my portable time on that and also trying to finish off Pokemon White. Hopefully I'll get around to this before Zelda comes along.


On the PS3 side I now have about 9 games I've not played or just started.

I took one glance at my game library, and then shook my head in shame... So many games to start...

Being an RPG fan can really set you back on other titles. When I started Fallout 3, I fell behind on heaps of titles that were being released after.

I think the other problem is the fact a lot of sequels have being coming out, especially to games that haven't seen the light in ages (Duke Nukem and Alice are great examples). Granted the fans want them, and also the developers are playing it safe, but for those of us that have followed the franchises, they just pile on top of titles we already need to catch up on.

My back log is huge, and will probably never get through them all, but the some of the games I really need to dive into are:

Resident Evil Zero (The only RE title I haven't finished)
Project Zero 2: Crimson Butterfly
Alan Wake
Gears of War (Series)
Half Life (Series)

I really just need to succumb to my habit and start playing everything on easier difficulties just to get through them. But for me it isn't too much of a problem, I enjoy reading up on the titles prior to release, and having them in my library is great too.

Blur - I was interested in this and brought it during the Steam Christmas sale, I haven't downloaded it yet.

Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9. I hear good things so I thought hey why not get them. I think why I do get around to playing them it might be on emulator for the convenience of quick saves.


It's funny really.

As a kid all I wanted were more games and having no money I usually finished each of my games at least twice but now I have games out the wazoo. Makes me sad I don't have time to play them all.

There are so many! For me, I start a lot of RPG's on my DS that I have hardly played, or I'm halfway through. Dragon quest games, Chrono Trigger, Avalon Code, Lock' Quest, and on PS3 Eternal Sonata and FFXIII (which I hate anyway). A lot of the time it's not because I don't enjoy playing, it's usually 'll get stuck somewhere and then can't be bothered or I get sidetracked by something else (Portal 2 has sidetracked me from Okamiden, but I'm sure I'll get back to that one. Probably.)

Reading lots of awesome games that people have not played yet!

Arkham Asylum is unreal! As with Red Dead Redemption and Assassin's Creed 2. Dead Space was one of the best games in 2008.

For me it is Saints Row 2, Tomb Raider Underworld, Fallout New Vegas - still haven't started it. World At War.

I have been meaning to finish off Fallout 3 for quite some time now. Am on the last mission strand but was waiting until I had the DLC so I could continue the game and got the DLC disc a year ago but never got around to it.

When you look at my photos in the game collection thread and compare it to this list.... you will not be impressed .

I have many in a Good Game style "pile of shame" where i started but never finished:

Red Dead Redemption: Shelved it to play UFC 2010, never went back

UFC 2010: Didn't like it as much as i liked UFC 2009

Guitar Hero World Tour: Barely played it when it first came out (a few songs), i'd return to it periodically (usually whenever the next GH or RB release, that would have me also return to previous games in the series). It's been 12+ months since i last played it, and only have 1 more tier of songs to go.

Guitar Hero 5: Purchased on release, did 3 songs.... havn't touched it since. Funnily enough playing it, made me want to return to GH WT.

Forza 2 (would like to finish it, but i've had career progress get corrupt 3 times.... not interested in playing it for hours and hours - only to happen again),

COD: Black OPS (game is so buggy that it has stunted my campaign progress multiple times - going to trade it in the next major cleanout i have)

NBA 2K11 (the trouble with buying it on every platform, is that game progress is stunted, i use one for online play, one console version for my Association progress, one console version for my player, one console version for the Jordan Challenges etc).

Halo REACH (yes i suck)

Mostly my games get played, but here are a few games lying around in shrinkwrap that I would like to get around to playing at some point in the future. Some are older games like God Hand & Suikoden III. Some are more recent like Alan Wake and several PSP RPGs.

My favourite genre is RPGs, which isn't the best because a lack of time and a tendency to waste money means that I can never find the time to play everything I buy to completion. I could be in the final stages of an RPG, only to be side-tracked by being weak-willed and having to try out a new purchase resulting in never finishing the original game. The list of RPGs that I actually really like but never quite finished is embarrassingly long If I could pick up and play an RPG I hadn't touched for over a year, I'd probably finish a lot more games. For some reason I always try and play them from start to finish again though.

Yeah, I'm bad at actually playing games... does it make it worse that I've actually played almost all of my High School Musical games already, too? My excuse for the PS2 ones is that my bf's borrowed my PS2 from almost when I got it, but I guess I don't really have an excuse for the rest

I work casual as a software developer about half-time and still do some casual work at uni, which I've been doing for a few years now. Pays pretty well, and I live at home and don't have to pay rent etc, so my disposable income goes mostly on games
