No surprise, the console is awesome, its just the lackluster opening releases that are the issue.

I'm surprised, it seemed like the console was off to a pretty slow start. _________________

Its a good unit I agree the line up is awful. But I didn't invest in a DSi either so plenty of back catalogue to keep me busy.

No doubt it is a good console. I'll just wait to get one until there is something I actually want to play or someone bypasses the region encoding _________________ MY SIGNATURE IS WRONG!

Region coding is a shortsighted idea for a portable console. What made it appealing in the past is knowing a DS cart I picked up while travelling with a portable console would work in my unit no matter where I ventured.

The 3DS had an aggressive hands on marketing campaign. It isn't a surprise it is selling well.
The 3DS is region locked? SOBs...

Sure, the launch line up is lacklustre, but with Pokemon Black/white and Okamiden having just been released, why does it matter?

True, that does lessen the impact, but it's not enough in the big picture. If you want your console to sell, you need to have good software available for it so that people will 1.) buy it, and 2.) have something to play when they do. Otherwise, you just piss off your customers. The only reason I got one at this point is because I was worried that they were all going to sell out and I wouldn't be able to get one for a while. _________________
