Ads before online videos. Companies think that they can get away with 30 seconds or even 15 second ads.
I lose all interest in the ad and actual video if I have to wait.
They need a maximum of 10 seconds. _________________

I just hate the fact that its everytime you watch some peoples' videos. at least they should have it once in a while.
edit: I'm not exactly ticked off but im a bit annoyed how they keep playing songs again and again everywhere and I get tired of them... Even if I like the songs too... I really like party rock anthem but soon enough I'll be bored of it and they'll be playing it everywhere still.... Everyday I'm sufferin :/ _________________

Posted a little while back in the smiles thread about a problem I've had with my net that was being handled well by AAPT/iiNet. Anyway a few weeks on and it is still happening, from 6pm onwards I get close to dialup speeds. I'm not too ticked off about that, I'm ticked off with Telstra.
3 onsite appointments so far booked. The tech is meant to come between 6-9pm to test the connection from here and the exchange. First time the tech arrived at 10:30am when nobody was home and simply checked the line outside of the house, something another tech had done the week before. Ring AAPT to tell them about it, manage to book another after-hours appointment for Thursday between 6-9. Missed a lecture I wanted to go to to meet them since it was apparently the only time they were available. Noone rocks up in the three hours. Emailed AAPT, next morning they ring me, informing me they've booked another appointment for Monday between 6 and 9pm. Come tonight, sweet staying home sitting around again for another 3 hours, surprise, noone rocks up.
Now I'm ticked off, arseholes. _________________

Probably just congestion like me, slower than dial up in some cases at times a lot of people are connected. Usually around 5-8, and on Fridays it is ridiculously slow and stays that speed until around 11 or so.

Apparently there is no congestion according to Telstra, I'm not on a RIM although I'm almost 6km from the exchange, get 6mb/s on a 8mb/s which is much faster than I was expecting when I originally upgraded. I mean it smells like congestion, walks like congestion and looks like congestion, but apparently it's not congestion. _________________

About 2 weeks ago I posted in the smiles thread regarding my cat having caught mouse. Due to this mouse having been a newborn, my partner and I didn't have the heart to put it outside, knowing it would be an indirect death sentence. So we decided to keep it, Wean it until it was old enough to fend for itself then let it go (like true parents)
Unfortunately today I saw my cat devour this little mousey.
He'd found the box we had the mouse in during the night and was chasing the mouse around.
As I found my cat, I picked him up to yank him away from this mouse and he ate it. Right there and then. Ah the vicious circle or life.
I was a little devastated at first, knowing I weaned the little bugger. I saw it open it eyes for the first time and what not, but sé la vie I suppose. _________________

So I was going to get to my interview at a law firm a good half an hr early. But no! Good ol' Cityrail strikes again. The train stopped in the middle of the tracks for a good hour. Then stopped another good half an hour at Turella.
So I turned up to my interview at a law firm an hour and fifteen minutes late... talk about a good impression... _________________

My****** **** of a boss.
Rude, disrespectful, ungrateful, treats you like a slave.
But I guess I just described every bloody boss in this lame society.
Whatever the ****, suck it up and call your boss a **** in your mind when you see him/her face to face.

Or you could stand up for people everywhere and call your boss a cunt in front of his face.

Girlfriend just broke up with me. I honestly thought it was going to last for ages, so did she. but because I'm an idiot I always acted like a friend without realising it, she ended up not liking me and ended it. On the plus side, I'm not as sad as I expected, I've been kind of preparing myself for it so it wasn't as much of a shock.
At least now I'll know how to act in future relationship and hopefully it'll turn out better. I just wish I friggen knew earlier so I could have fixed it. Fucking hell.
Oh, and the worst part is that if I had've taken initiative and asked her to hang out the past 7 days, it may not have ended, but because I thought she had too much study I didn't, and she thought I didn't care or something. Kind of wishing I hadve just asked her to hang out on the weekend now :/

a woman i work with left her previous job by shouting "you're all a bunch of useless shits, i quit" and walked out.
She's extremely well known in the industry for her expertise, considered a subject-matter-expert in a number of industry software suites. she was apparently offered a huge severence if she signed an NDA on the reasons she left. she declined, and told everyone. _________________

I dunno, my boss and his boss are both pretty cool. Even my boss's boss's boss is a decent guy, although I haven't spoken to him much. It's the ones above them that I never talk to who are complete ****s.
I think my company has way too many layers of management _________________

Some guy punched my car as I was driving yesterday and dented it. If I'd have realised at the time he would have got a swift fist to the face.

The postman that delivers mail to my house always tries his hardest to force my games into the front of the mailbox. Every time it leaves the case either crushed and broken or a gash in the cover. I couldn't even get it out of the mail box one time and had to cut the packaging off to loosen it up. It's really frustrating that they make it all the way from the UK with no damage whatsoever and then it gets wrecked by the postman forcing it into the mailbox. Is it really that hard to simply go around to the other side of the mailbox and put it in there?

fuck the tiger woods 12 dlc right in it's arse.....EA you guys are going to drive gaming into the dirt with this shit.....
(some courses are dlc and are included in the season mode, if you want to play the game properly you have to pony up for the extra courses, meanwhile the computer counts as having played the courses while you can't, fuck you EA ) _________________ kill, kill, kill.....the white man. Wouldn't this give you a good advantage in terms of having a lower score? Or is this some sort of points/wins in a season ladder thing?
I don't know nothing 'bout golf =)

I don't think they're technically allowed to do that - or at least I was advised not to do it when delivering things to letterboxes as a kid. _________________

No offense but being a friend is an extremely important part of a relationship and completely necessary for a long-lasting relationship. A solid friendship with your partner doesn't set you further apart... it brings you closer over the years. First relationships are usually just based on chemistry. Chemistry dies, interest is lost.
Don't go into your next relationship thinking that being her friend is going to push her away.

It was more than that. I never initiated anything, always waited for her to. I was very rarely open to her emotionally, I can't really remember ever telling her how I felt. It's because I over thought everything and thought if I did anything it would turn out bad. Hell, I didn't even kiss her anywhere near as much as I should, maybe once every 2-3 times we hung out, because I was worried how she would react. I know this is pathetic, but it's what I do. I'm starting to change now though, I do things without expecting the worst, because I know the worst won't happen.
Though I am still sad about it (though not as much as I expected, and more of the fact that I don't have anyone and I'll never see her again, I've accepted it's unlikely she'll be the most amazing girl I ever meet), I'm glad I learnt more about myself, and will be better for it. I just can't wait for this sadness to pass, I hate feeling like the smallest thing will cause me to cry (I don't care how pathetic that sounds). On the plus side, hanging with friends makes me feel so much better about everything. On the downside, tomorrow is my last day at TAFE before the holidays, gonna need to organise things with friends or spend a lot of time alone.

Breaking up sucks dude. But it does make you value things a little differently.
Every break up I've gone through had me come out much better equipped for the next stage in life. _________________
