Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering how much does it normally cost for shipping from the NISA store? _________________

I had checked there every day in the last week and they had removed the listing from the site, glad it is back, will be ordering it during the week

It's about $8 AUS.
EDIT: I'm almost done with Dragon Quest VI. Been playing this on and off since release and I'm now in the final dungeon, pushing my way through towards the boss. My party is level 42 and under so I'm not sure if they are fully ready for the boss yet but I'm going to give it a shot. If they die, I'll just go back to levelling.
EDIT2: Oh yeah, finished Dragon Quest VI It took me a while this afternoon to level my party. I had some mana problems so once I adjusted some character's classes, things went smoothly and I took dowm the boss. Now onto finishing Tales Of Eternia before Tactics Ogre and Trials In The sky arrive next week. _________________

I wish it was $8 =P It's more like $12 but now they won't replace your order if it gets lost so you have to go for the $20+ one <___> Also I just realised something: bulky collector's PSP games don't get smashed when being delivered from Hong Kong but rather when it's being transferred from U.S distribution to Play-Asia warehouse. Hope tits arrives ok on Monday but not counting on it. I'll have to go with amazon next time like I did with Ys.
edit: tactics ogres premium edition is $28 atm, that's pretty cheap - http://www.ozgameshop.com/psp-games/tactics-ogre-let-us-cling-together-premium-edition-game-psp _________________

Yeah, Amazon's packaging is great, I'm yet to receive anything damaged in the slightest from them. Their express shipping is quite good too, I received my copy of Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars within 3 days of ordering! _________________

Tits arrived in perfect condition from play-asia box. I threw in a Dissidia 012 clearfile into the order so they would throw in more white foam into the box so it wouldn't move around and it paid off _________________

Ar Tonelico. I have seen it before for PS2 and I considered it when I started collecting RPGs/JRPGs for my PS2 (which I won on palgn good times) but then I lost myself in MMOs. Anyway, is it worth chasing down the first two for PS2? Because the 3rd on PS3 looks awesome but I wouldn't bother getting it without having the whole trilogy.

Didn't know which thread to post this in but anybody here know if 3rd birthday on psp is worth getting? The mixed reviews have me confused whether to purchase it or not. Note that I have not played a parasite eve game before. _________________

Yes! The first two rate in my top 5 favourite PS2 RPGs, along with Kingdom Hearts 2 and Dragon Quest VIII. There's really nothing else quite like them. It's definitely a good idea to play them before trying the third game, as the story of the second game continues on, and both games feature cameos and/or significant appearances of previous characters. _________________

Wait I'm in the final dungeon of Ar Tonelico 1. I'm suffering from absolute refusal to finish off the game and move on the next because I'm... attached to the characters D= but at this rate I'll end up putting off the final fight until 1 year later like Persona 4.
Ok I'll try to finish AT1 tomorrow and post an impression but for now I would say YES get it. I'm really grateful for Ad and Kyle for making me play it and emptying my wallet getting 3 soundtracks and the official artbook for AT1
Anyway during my procrastination to finish off AT1 I ended up finishing off Mass Effect 2. I'm basically going to echo everything Kyle said about ME2 when he finished it... can't remember which thread page that was only that I remember agreeing with him. I didn't like the mini story structure but I appreciate that it was necessary to set up the 'recruit all species' aspect of Mass Effect 3. The final mission was quite epic not as rushing and frantic as I was expecting but the mood was great, mainly because of the soundtrack which had one of the best scores I've heard since the Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood soundtracks. I'm still not sure if a couple of decisions i made in the game will be good or bad in ME3 but we'll just have to see. Stupid Bioware making me pay $40 for all the DLC =( Only finished Kasumi one so far. Also Adept Sheperd is so fun but it's a bit too strong. I mean I advanced training Legion's special which gave me a really good shield so that took away the adept's defence weakness. Then I'm just warping the crap out of the final boss until it died. The husks were also really easy with wide singularity. I have to wonder how a soldier gets through them in some instances. I mean I initially tried to punch them then shoot them for the brawler achievement... but then they ganged up on me and I couldn't move until I saw the critical mission failure screen =P
Also lololol at Miranda's "pickme!pickme!" attitude, like hell I'm going to let her try and put up a biotic field strong enough to hold off the seeker swarm -_- _________________

From the reviews I've read/watched, apparently it is the worst story Square Enix has ever produced and there ARE RPG elements, but they are so minor you'll not even notice them.
But I've never played a Parasite Eve game either....Maybe buy the first one for $15 off the PS store and if you like it, the 3rd Birthday might be worth looking at? _________________

So I finally started Magna Carta 2 after buying it from dloiscute a few months ago...
Got to say I am about 1 hour in so far and quite enjoying it. The intro was quite information heavy and compounded with the amount of unusual words used I didn't really get too much of the backstory to sink in. Since then though it's been drip feeding me more which is way more preferable than just chucking a massive amount of info in a couple of cutscenes.
Reminds me a hell of a lot of FFXII with the targetting structure and enemy information when targetting. Graphics obviously look a little dated. Lots of fuzziness here and there. The combat/movement mode thing is interesting. What I quite liked though was the overdrive mechanic, gives a nice incentive for repeatedly attacking but also a drawback which makes sure you aren't just spamming attacks and are actually using a bit of tactics/movement around the battlefield. Loading times are good, never more than a couple of seconds at most (in some cases I wish they were more so that I could finish reading the splash screens) but I have installed the game so that accounts for a bit of it.
Argo reminds me of Zudomon. Although on reflection all they really have in common is the massive hammer and muscular body.
Anyways, I'm quite looking forward to playing* some more of this**
I really should have structured this post a bit better too....
*That's if my parents don't continually hog the T.V at night (especially Dad) and then proceed to berate me when I turn on my PS3/360 at 12 o'clock after they've finished
**I said this exact same thing about 10 month ago when Kyle Clarthy asked me to give some impressions on Folklore. I played it the next night for an hour and haven't touched it again till this day....
It was fun though. I'll go back to it someday.
EDIT: Camera is a bit iffy too. Especially during the boss fight with the sentinel dude. _________________

Hey guys
Just in regards to Valkyria Chronicles's DLC, Behind her Blue Flame
Spoilers for the main game, I think.
| Quote: |
In regards to the fourth mission, the one where you can control Selvaria as a Valkyria. Apparently in order to unlock it you're supposed to get an A in all three missions. I was just wondering in order to play the fourth mission do you need to finish the first mission after getting the As and it goes straight to the 4th mission instead of the other two or does it unlock after you finish the DLC.
|
So I ended up finish the first Prinny game on the PSP and was just wondering if anyone play this or the second game.
Also I've decided to play Jeanne d'Arc on the PSP and while I know that UWSguy love this game (well I think it was UWS) but has anyone else play it. _________________ Currently Playing : Atelier Iris 2 (PS2), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Legend of Heroes : Trails of the Sky (PSP), 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

I played the first Prinny game, the words 'totally hardcore' come to mind. It's probably the hardest platformer game I've ever played, but still pretty fun. I didn't quite manage to finish it though, the last boss was too much. Apparently the second game added an easier difficulty setting, so hopefully that will be a little bit simpler to get through, _________________

Oh really that kinda sucks. I hate games with mixed reviews it makes it hard to decide whether to get the game or not especially when I've never played that series before. Getting the first is an option I guess but there wouldn't be enough space on my memory stick for it. _________________

the anime cutscenes looks cool |
I've not played the full game, just the demo version of GE & GE-B.
From what I've read, GE is normally referred to as Bandai-Namco's version's of Capcom MH.
That said, between the two, I prefer GE as it has guns, bullets and swords and it's post-apocalyse. Secondly, there are story-line casts in GE and for me, the characters development and storyline between you and the casts is what I like.
While the general gameplay style are similar, MH is more like an MMO to me, while GE is more of single player action-RPG. GE is similar to Sega PSP to me.
Finally, I did not purchase GE-B. The demos I've tried was so difficult that I gave up. I'm too old for that. If you are getting the EU/NA GE-B, it be good as I do believe GE-B has been tweaked and improved in AI and mechanics. While some "old tricks" no longer work in GE-B, the controls and AI are improved. _________________ 「貧乳はステータスだ!希少価値だ!」 - 泉 こなた

Anybody grabbing this?
I'm really tempted, but I might just go for the standard premium edition with a Fuka figure and 1 artbook instead.. I love those nendoroids, but don't think I'm hardcore enough to spend more on the extra stuff!
And here's the link to get a preorder notice too:

I must say, the super premium edition is pretty tempting! It's an amazing package, NISA have put a lot of work into bringing us some real treats. For me, it will all depend on how much they want for it. Hopefully it won't cost more than $100. _________________

I started Hyperdimension Neptunia tonight. I'm feeling a bit mixed about it, like I want to just put it down and never play it again because it seems really bad but somehow I also want to keep playing.
First thing that's put me off is the music, it's terrible. You would think a game like this would have upbeat and catchy tracks like Ar Tonelico or any Atelier game really but there's none of that. The dungeon and battle music is dreary and extremely repetitive. Music is a very important aspect of an RPG for me so that's a huge let down.
Then there's the dungeons. They aren't interesting at all! Okay, I've only seen two so far and they've been a brown warehouse and a grey cave. Where's the colour that was on the cover!?
Despite all that there is just something that keeps me wanting to play it. The character designs are great and the premise is interesting. I even find the dialog quite witty and hilarious at times. So yeah, it's been a bit mixed but I think once I wrap my head around all the mechanics (everything is thrown at you within the first 10 minutes of gameplay ) and mute the music I will start enjoying it a bit more.

Yeah the dungeons are all the same in design =( It's like the designers got slack. Hopefully they'll fix it up for the sequel. I just bought Nisa and Gust on PSN today so I'll get back to HN soon.
Maybe you want to come back because of Nep Nep's spunky attitude and voice acting? I know that's why I am =P _________________
