I was bored, and I'm not really using my copy of White for anything (I got both B&W). So I thought, why not try and get a shiny starter for a bit?

That's ok, you always seem to have such a busy schedule! I'll just trade it over to Jessara, and she can send it to you on the copy of Black. _________________

Damn, thats awesome Ads!
I'm going to get back into Shiny hunting again soon, I still need my silver Metagross! I have actually been pretty lucky with shinies over the years, but I wasn't interested in them at all until the start of last year, so I gave most of them away
I gave a shiny Scyther and Staryu away, which I hatched while trying to breed a competitive team. And I gave a couple of shinies I chained with the Pokeradar away as Tournament prizes way back when too.
Still, I ran into a shiny Plusle and managed to hatch a shiny Charmander, Elektrike and Ekans last year, so that kinda makes up for it And I have a gold Rhyperior that Kyle Clarthy gave too! _________________

My brother just told me he found me an early birthday present...
A shiny Marowak!
Marowak was one of my core team back in GenI and still serves as one of my favourite Ground type 'mon ever. _________________

Wowzers!
Humor me again, people.
I just found another shiny. I feel so lucky. I don't believe I've ever had such shiny luck in such a short amount of time.
Well, here's the obligatory short story. I just got out of Twist Mountain and I thought ... Hey, Shelmet appears here. Considering I love Accelgor, I thought I'd try for a shiny Shelmet. My game has been in sleep mode for a few days now, and I've picked it up to hunt Pokemon and level up Gooze whenever I could, so I don't really know if it means anything in regards to how lucky I was, but it's not as if I just turned the game on and found a shiny straight away. Anyhow, I was biking back and forth, battling anything I came across, and I was just posting something on PALGN when I looked down and immediately knew I had found a shiny due to how drastically different the color of the Pokemon was.
So, yay!
Normal and Shiny

It's not the Shelmet I was after, but I'm not complaining in the slightest. I just don't know how to EV train it, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Oh, and Flounder is just the name I gave it to begin with ... I am not sure whether I will keep that or think of something else.
By the way, I nickname my Pokemon all in caps because in the older gens, all Pokemon names were in CAPS, and when I nicknamed something normally it just looked weird ... now they've changed it so that Pokemon names are no longer in caps, but I can't change any of my old Pokemon's names anymore, due to being traded from their original games, so I have a bit of a dilemma. I'm wondering whether to keep naming Pokemon LIKE THIS or not ... It sounds so stupidly funny, I have to admit.
Anyway!
I will be hunting for a shiny Shelmet again, though, so I'll try not to leave this area until something else shines. I don't want to give up.
Oh, and here's a pic of Gooze after he's fully evolved. Such a peculiar little guy.
I can't believe how lucky I have been so far.
(I know ... I'm so obsessed.) _________________

Just got my 6th badge and now the Zorua Shiny Egg Quest begins!
I can hatch an egg in pretty much 3-5 minutes, now it's just up to chance....and my patience. _________________

Good luck with that, Luke. Don't give up, whatever you do. It's worth it when you see it sparkle, that's for sure, and also knowing it's your very own Pokemon that no one else has is a nice feeling, too. Oh, and also knowing that you didn't cheat for it, either. Oh, and that you have the patience for it, as well! _________________

Hi,
I just got the new 3DS and am trying to setup Pokemon BW with wireless. My router is WPA2. Does the game only recognise WEP encryption only.
Thanks

The game recognises WPA encryption, but only if:
- It is a legit copy.
- It is played on a DSi, DSi XL or 3DS. _________________

10 eggs and no luck so far.
I don't want to take away Jessara's breeding thing, but if anyone else wants a Zorua with the egg move Counter, feel free to PM me, or else they'll just be sitting there in a PC box, cold and alone, with no one to train them. _________________

I've also got some Vacuum Wave Riolu up for grabs if anyone wants one (for Nasty Plot Lucario, they're all Modest, too), as well as a few Silgiph with Stored Power, Roost and Psycho Shift (for the Comic Power booster set, these guys are Timid).
I really want the Dream World to be opened. I'm running out of things to do because all of my friends are still working through the story and I'm the only one who can use a decent team to battle. _________________

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the masuda method merely quadruple the chance of getting a shiny? So you'd still only have a 1/2048 chance of getting one? _________________

Yeah, you're right, but apparently in BW the Masuda Method has been increased yet again. I can't remember the exact amount, but the odds are in your favour even more this time.
Still, it's all about chance, so you could still hatch roughly 8000 and get nothing. Fingers crossed it's not the case for you, Luke. _________________

Man, loving this Battle Subway.
The Simipour that gets four flinches in a row on my Samurott, the Jellicent that dodges 3 100% accurate moves and destroys my whole team...
And of course this only happens after getting a large streak up.
So mad. _________________

While hunting around on the GTS I managed to find a female Marvel Scale Dratini - one of the Dream World Pokemon.
I'm going to breed a few up, so if anyone wants a Marvel Scale Dratini (evolves into Multiscale Dragonite) then hit me up. _________________

Jessara: The female passes the ability along. This is only the case with Dream World Pokemon: there is a 40% chance that the ability will be passed along if the female has the ability and is bred with another member of the sapce Pokemon species (i.e. A female Dratini w/ Marvel Scale breeds with a male Dratini w/ any ability = an offspring with a 40% chance of having the ability).
Multiscale reduces damage done to a Pokemon by half when it it on full HP - Dragonite becomes INCREDIBLY bulky when on full HP.
Arnor: Eternal love and adoration will suffice.
NOTE: I might not be able to get some females for a little bit due to work, school and the pain in the arse that breeding can be. I'll get them done soonish! _________________

I'd love a female Dratini....You can have one of my Zorua's. Please do take one, they are box hoggers and I don't have the heart to release them. _________________

It'll be quicker if you don't box the Zorua...just keep a bunch for trading and release each group of 5 you hatch, it saves you wasting your box space. _________________

You have to put them in the box to release them don't you? Or am I missing something?
How many have you hatched so far, Jessara? _________________

About 200+ so far though I've been hatching them since I said I had Zorua to give away. Nah you don't need to put them in the box, just choose the option 'MOVE POKEMON' then chose the pokemon you want to release in your party. _________________
