ugghh Kyle, why did you remind me of those two games. I think they are the only two games left on the Wii that I want to buy.
Also in regards to Tactic Ogre on the PSP. Considering that the game is a sequel to the SNES / PSX game Ogre Battle, does anyone know if that is needed to be played in order to get the best experience out of Tactic Ogre. |
Lol ... Sorry, but we're all suffering here together, I suppose. Still, they need to be brought up every now and then to keep the spirit alive or something. And it sounds like you've forgotten about them until now. What if I told you they were released, like, yesterday?
I'm seriously considering selling my Wii, but then I think of games like ToS: DotNW or Little King's Story, or even Zack and Wiki ... stuff that I couldn't stand not to be able to play anymore. But the fact was, I bought the Wii for games very much like Graces, and Dragon Quest and Xenoblade and Last Story, and so far it's been pretty lame.
As for Tactics Ogre, apparently it's episode VII, according to that thing I posted from Siliconera, but it's pretty much standalone, so you should be fine. _________________

Any one else playing Okamiden? |
Only for an hour on the night I got it to make sure the game's working ok. But from what I can see, it pretty much more of the same but then again, is that a bad thing.......no.
I agree with you in regards to the graphics as they are amazing. Are most of the songs on Okamiden new songs Luke, because I couldn't remember alot of the songs that I heard in the background ( in that regard I miss the song that played in the cursed Shinshu Field). Basically it just a smaller version of Okami which really is the best compliment and insult I think this game can get. More the former than the later though. But I already started on Radiant Historia which is too amazing to put down but Okamiden will be next on the list.
How is it further in Luke. |
I couldn't remember the songs from Okami, as people are slowly discovering, I have a shocking memory. Actually now that I think of it, some of it is the same like the Constellations. My only complaint is that the power of regeneration sucks, now you have to trace an outline of an object, not fill it in. Which can sometimes be harder than it sounds.
I haven't played any more since I posted. But you do go to the same areas....Meet the same characters, but of course their stories are different now. _________________

You should buy both Hyperdimension Neptunia and Ar Tonelico right now then. Heh, the Purge animations in Ar Tonelico are something to see. It's like something straight out of a magical girl anime, much like Hyperdimension Neptunia, but much fancier. We have boob physics, people. _________________

I love the perverted talk in these japanese games, it gives it some charm. Alteria Rorona has it in suitable doses, it's cute, innocent and enjoyable all at the same time. Hyperdimeniosn Neptunia has received mixed reviews so I'm not sure about picking it up, Ar Tonelico has received some good ones so I may get that.

Oh man I never got to try Misha's soul space level 2 yet but I'm doing Aurica's at the moment and I just love the amount of thought put into the psychology of these characters. I'm assuming diving will continue to be good in this game, so how is it in Ar Tonelico 2 and Ad, how does it compare in AT Qoga? _________________

I'll pick it up once I finish work, I'll keep you guys updated. If Ar Tonelico's like the US version L.E, my friend's definitely going to be pissed off _________________

Picked up both Ar Tonelico Qoga and Neptunia. The Artbook that comes with Ar Tonelico is as big as the blu-ray case. As for Neptunia...for some reason I didn't get the Pre Order Art Book, which I'll chase up with the manager tomorrow. I'm uploading the picture I took of Ar Tonelico atm, I'm capped atm so it'll take a while, I'll edit my post to include the photo once it's uploaded
EDIT: I've also uploaded the image

Ah so it's a mini artbook compared to the U.S one, probably explains why it's 36 pages and not 42. _________________

That's not too bad, I wasn't expecting the same art book from the US release. I bet EB will screw me over with the art books when I pick mine up tomorrow.

I think all copies come with soundtrack, is that what the circle on the front cover says? Like free soundtrack inside? Coz it's on all PAL copies as well. Artbook doesn't look hardcover as well. Ok I made the right decision getting the U.S version XD Thanks chibiandy for sharing. I got the PAL copy from ozgameshop so the pegi logo is consistent with my other 2 AT games (yes I'm a collector so these small things matter to me =P) _________________

Yeah, every PAL copy has the soundtrack. Seems like only the limited edition has it in the U.S, but all the first run copies are limited editions. As such, I have a lovely limited edition in the big box with the large hard cover art book and soundtrack CD. It's good to see that we still got that stuff over here, but they nerfed the art book unfortunately.

Diving is one of the most interesting and unique parts of the Ar Tonelico series. I like that it gives the games a bit more depth, rather than just focusing on the outside appaearance, we get to delve inside their minds to better understand them as people. The diving in 2 is just as good, despite a few minor typos, and so far it's really good in Qoga too. It follows the exact same layout in all three. _________________

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much, that and I don't really have a debit card, some accident kinda deterred me from getting one, otherwise I would have ordered it from NIS directly. While on the topic of Ar Tonelico, I need to procure a copy of Ar Tonelico 1, it's the only one that's missing in my Ar Tonelico collection _________________

I'm saving the Ar Tonelico Qoga box for when Stephanie Sheh (Finnel) or Karen Strassmen (Misha) comes to Supanova! At least one of them will at some point =P It'll be nice to have it signed coz it stands up nicely on a shelf. _________________

Last time I outlined all the reasons you should be getting The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, but I really want to illustrate A) just how much this game has to offer, B) why it’s right for you (assuming you haven’t stumbled onto this blog from a chain-letter or suspicious link) and C) what happens when you cross that 4-coffee-a-day threshold. Enjoy!

I didn't expect to find any major bugs in Ar Tonelico, but that's exactly what I just came across. The enemies in the current area were surprisingly strong, so I decided to train next to a save point so that I could heal after each battle. During my fourth battle, the game suddenly freezes while I;m attacking. The music is still playing, but the PS3 is completely locked up. Sigh. _________________

Looks like i'm buying for the love of all that is holy
Anyway I just ordered it from play-asia as well as Suikoden Tactics, I'm very happy with what I ordered.
I was tempted to get .hack GU vol 2 but decided against it due too not owning 1 or 3.
For some odd (possibly insane) reason, I feel a urge to get platimun in Yakuza 3 and 4. I must resist
The Spensa
I'm attempting for a full 100% play-through, some games just make me want to keep going. So far I've gotten all the moonfish, I can get, when I fed the bird enough I got an extra scene describing a characters past, really added to the game. I'm also searching for more crew, and looking for discoveries. As for bounties, yeah... I'm after an impostor.
Oh yeah, in the Dark Rift, I felt like there is a lot of chances to see a giant fishy or discover a new species. I think if you go back after Yufatoma, you may see something special.
Kyle
I'll do my best to find the shines, I can't guarantee though.
As a side-note, I have a shiny Gardevior, one of my favourite pokemon.

Ar Tonelico 1 has an annoying bug, half of the time I'm on the title screen it tries to load something from the memory card. I have to wait for the OP movie to play again to reset the PS2 when it usually starts working again. Also there's a lot of lag in battle, maybe it's because I'm on a generation 1 PS2 and not a slim? _________________
