Hi guys,
Look I need a small website made... really basic. I have started a small business, I don't need much
Im outsourcing this as I dont have alot of money atm Im hoping to get either a student or some starting off and I dont need much in terms of a website too...
PM or post on this if yr interested 
Also I have another friend who wants something similar too so yeah...
Im wanting to pay too.... I dont expect it to be free

Just wondering what type of a website do you wish, just a simple company website with possibly a blog/news section?, or not even a blog? what are the features you want?
Also, do you have a web host? who will be setting that up? timeframe?

yeah dude, i have a web design business if you are interested, relatively cheap but professionally designed.
the company site is a bit incomplete at the moment, but check out www.extremecreative.com.au
basic fully content managed site from $500 and you can completely update it yourself.

I'm sure you're awesome at what you do, but I still find it ironic that a webdesign firm's own website is incomplete.

it sure is. the problem is that i have too much work to do to complete that site unfortunately. the web design business is a side project in partnership with my boss which allows me to work during work hours on paid design work. when im not doing that i run a graphic design department in china and here in australia for my boss's business, so the work just gets put in with the workflow. kinda cool way to do it, its a low risk and costless business model that only operates when there is money being made.

Why does this thread make me think of Clients From Hell...
Either way, good luck with the new site. I'd offer to do it myself, but I'm still learning the trade.

well you haven't really explained what type of avnue your going for but you may as well just use one of those free blog services for the time being.

Web host/server host and domain name are services needed to be bought before any website can be put on the web. You dont need a web designer/developer for this. Its just like buying an ISP service.
The web designer/developer can do this for you but they wont make any money out of that part. The creation of the website is what they would build and bill you for.
Edit: I have tafe qualifications for web and graphic design, and I know how much work is involved.
Gizmocreative's offer with the services he promises is a pretty good deal for $500 IMO.
