Does anyone know how'd I go about emailing Sony for PSN support? I wish to deactivate a console I no longer own from my PSN account, but their website is a nightmare to navigate and I have where to go. _________________

Well sort of, except the item in question is a PSP that I no longer own....As I had to give it back to JB due to it being a faulty item. But I just had a look and the system is still registered. So I need Sony HQ to deactivate it themselves. _________________

Some help please. I am using a French PS2 on an Ecuadorian TV and we can't get colour to work (it is a colour TV obviously). All power outlets and electronics here are US standards. The PS2 has the usual 3 colour outlets, but the TV only has white and yellow. Help please _________________

French is secam/pal secam, ecuador is ntsc.....depending on what tv it is (i am assuming an old school tv seeing it only has yellow and white), you may have to manually set the tv to pal or auto, however it may not have this option and black and white it is i am afraid.
If you have a fairly decent pc you could run the games on an emu.
@metal gear yoshi - ps2 will look pretty much arse on any new tv regardless of the cable, it looks marginally better with component but not much. _________________ kill, kill, kill.....the white man. Kill the white man, kill

I bought a x11 from ozgameshop
Order #46250 7th March 2011 at 09:46:31 $52.97 Despatched
It was on the 7th of March and I haven't received it. Should I be getting worried?

As JA said, nah, it's fine. I got an order (PS3 game) from them today that I placed on the 9th, it was sent same day. Hopefully yours should arrive by the end of the week.
There's a whole thread about OzGameShop posting times on the General Gaming discussion board.

True... I used a component cable with a PS2 for a while and the image quality is just slightly less blurry. That said, there are a handful of games, such as GT4 and Tourist Trophy (NTSC versions, not PAL unfortunately), that will run at 1080i, as well as heaps that can be run in 480p. It doesn't look like Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is on the list though. As for choosing between the two cables, I'd just get the cheaper one myself, probably wouldn't notice any difference between the two. They're both cheap though and either one would do the job.

Is it worth getting Wipeout 2097 if I have Wip3out? I picked up Wip3out today for $5 (in pristine condition, I was surprised) and they also had Wipeout 2097 platinum for the same price, but it's only single-player so I left it. Is there much of a difference that I should get both? (I'm not going to play them much anyway.) _________________

Wip3out is the better game. The only real reason to get 2097 if you have 3 is for completeness. _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

Thanks, wasn't sure as reviews seemed to differ on that. Really only planning to break it out once in a while for fun, so I figured the one with two-player support would be the way to go. _________________

Anyone a bit savvy with electronics? Basically I bought a TV tuner today to primarily record gameplay footage from my PS2, etc.
Anyway I can hook it up with the video connector from the composite cable and it receives the video fine but I don't have anywhere to connect the sound. I was thinking about maybe finding a cable that connected the white/red audio cables and then went into the 3.5mm connections on my motherboard? Is that at all possible and where would I buy a cable like that? If that isn't possible then are there any other ways just to record the sound, keeping in mind that the TV tuner I bought has no connection for audio?
Edit: I was thinking something like this: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=PA3580&keywords=3.5mm&form=KEYWORD
But will it work as in allow me to record the sound if I plug it into the back of my motherboard?

Yes, plug it into Line In, tell your recording software that that is the sound source. all done. _________________

Re: Wipeout, already resolved, but I'd just like to add that 2097 doesn't support analogue either. And Wip3out looks HEAPS better. It's amazing how good it looks for a PS1 game actually (and it's even better still when played through an emulator at high res with a few texture filters added to the mix).
I have a question too: is there any software that will allow me to stretch the desktop dimensions through Windows 7?
I have my laptop hooked up to the TV, which can only stretch the picture horizontally (as well as move side to side/up and down). So the outside left and right edges are fine, but the image is too big vertically and half the taskbar and a strip at the top are chopped off. I've contacted the manufacturer of the TV, and they said there was nothing I could do about it. I've tried searching for an app or something that will do it, and so far haven't found anything.
My laptop has a DX9 GPU (radeon xpress 200m) and I'm running Windows 7, so it's just using the crappy microsoft default drivers (won't let me install latest catalyst drivers or the control centre software).
I've been able to deal with it and get along, but it would be awesome if one of you guys knew of like a small application, or something that can stretch the desktop dimensions, similar to how my TV would if it wasn't so retarded.

This one is for the Melbournites....
Anybody down there been to the venue, Billboards before? Just wanting to know generally what it's like? Multiple rooms? Big or small club? Kinda trying to get myself down there for an event on Easter long weekend, and wanted to know what the place is like.

yah, i actually liked it....not bad for a venue, it is pretty much one big night clubby sort of room, it has a balcony area and such...it feels like a mix of night club and concert hall type deal, it isn't huge but it isn't small either.
i have only seen carcass there but they sounded great. _________________ kill, kill, kill.....the white man. Kill the white man, kill
