I would also add that while it's unconfirmed, I'd say Kit Harington is definitely Vincent in the film.
Here's hoping for his famous "They look like monsters to you?" line.

I'd say thats accurate. I've seen another article that actively mentioned Vincent in it as a character for the film.

Wow, I am really, really looking forward to this now. Brilliant that they have more actors from the original film in addition to Sean Bean. I do wonder how they will address the whole Harry Mason/Chris Da Silva thing now that Rose is in the movie.

SPOILERS - Highlight to read.
^My guess is Rose is still trapped in the fog-world, while Alessa somehow has ended up back with Chris, and they've both changed their names as they've gone 'on the run' from Silent Hill - to Heather and Harry Mason.
Why they're on the run I don't know, since Chris wasn't exposed to the fog or otherworld of Silent Hill in the first film, but I guess we'll find out.
