I see it this way, CoD is just cheap fun, nothing new or special but it always delivers something at least enjoyable.
Sure it's rehashed and needs an update but they always manage to convince me to buy it somehow and I've never really been disappointed.
Well...except CoD 3...but who even remembers that crap anymore.

I like how damn reasonable that comment was MikeCrick.
It's all well and good to rag on COD and complain about pre-pubescent idiots, but we all still buy it and play it don't we? (Rhetorical question kids).
Oh, and having it beat Wii sports isn't a bad thing at all. It never actually earned it's place as bests selling due to the fact it was (is it still?) a pack in with every Wii console they sold.

Actually it was Wii Play not Wii Sports.
I think it's bundled with a WiiMote not the consoles but the same argument stands.
After just playing a round on a 'snipers only' server and having the majority of people walking around with rapid fire weapons I have to agree with Matth3w up there

I don't mind the games themselves, I just despise having to pay 100 bucks for something that's essencially a Call of Duty 4 expansion. And THEN having to pay an additional 15 bucks for additional content, multiple times.

When they were saying that MW2 was going to cost more than normal, and the CEO of Activision, Bobby Kotick, said if it were up to him, he'd charge even more... that's when I decided to stop buying Call of Duty games.
