Everyone knows the best sandbox game ever is Just Cause 2 with mods.
Ninja suit + being able to fly at supersonic speeds + rapid fire mech arms that are twice as powerful as rocket launcher explosions and blows trees down > everything.

Didn't see it and honestly if you like GTA 4 and can enjoy it more power to ya. I just get a little defensive when someone compares me to a halo fanboy and says I deserve to be slapped for liking one game over another.

It's cool that they wanted to move on with the concept, and I think by the time they made RDR they did it amazingly. That game was fantastic. But as far GTA 4 goes I don't think they did a very good job.
I've also gotta disagree with the assertion that you need to finish a game before you can form an opinion of it. If the game doesn't hold my interest for long enough for me to finish it then I feel pretty confident in saying weather it's a good game or not. If they have managed to save all the fun for the end then well... that's a really stupid way to design a game and you shouldn't have to struggle through hours of bad to get to the good.
