Weird, at EB I never get asked for ID when BUYING a pre-owned game, yet always get asked at JB.

Its also based on each State but I'm pretty its all to do with the licencing the companies have to buy/sell the games. I don't think EB need to do it cause they are a straight up games franchise but since JB is a different type of company there is different licencing/laws applied for trading/buy pre-owned games.

Just wondering has anyone done a trade 3 deal at JB and cancelled the order and got something else before? usually they do not allow the trade deal to happen before the game is released so i am not too sure. Thanks

I just tried to trade in 2 games at JB for the pokemon deal and they would't accept them, the games werent in the system. So does any one have a list of games they do accept for the DS?

If somebody has traded in games for the current deal and would't mind listing what games you traded in they would be great (just PM).

The 2 games are not on the exclusion list.

If you havent played forza 3 its a great racing tittle and for $15 its worth it although the ultimate edition is retailed at $50 which is coming out soon. Also for those who have not played dead 2 rights retribution, its not a bad game, underrated in my opinion, plus you get avatar item unlocks ( a suit, helmet etc)

I tried to trade in 2 games that were not on the list and it didn't work.

Am I missing something does JB have 2 sets of lists?

Not too sure to be honest, generally with previous trades, if its not on the exclusion list its trade-able, but i guess its up to the games people. Once i had tomb raider underworld collectors which wasnt on the list but the standard was, the guy but it through as an OPEN SKU...but if its not on the list, it can be traded towards the deal...

If it s not listed on their system you also cannot trade it (JB assumes they are store sepceific imports even with australian rarting stickers and treats them as untradable, as they do any other import) Usually its rubbish like 8 ball and ocktoberfest etc ($14.95 used each at game at the moment but NOT tradable) I got mine preorder today trading contact ($14 used Ebs) IL-2 Sturmovik ($15 used GAME) Colour Cross ($10 toy r us) and heroes might and magc clash of heores ($15 used GAME)

You really should grab a might and magic for yourself at that price as well, its a great game.....

EDIT: seems like most trade deals it depends who you get as to what policies get enforced.

I traded two games that weren't on their system yesterday. They were both UK imports with Australian rating stickers. On my receipt they were both added as "TI NDS OPEN SKU" and the name of the games were inserted as separate comments. It may depend on the store, but I have done this at two different JB stores.
