Hey everyone!

I'm Dark Gaia (obviously), an eighteen year old Deakin University Arts student based in Melbourne. In my spare time, I tend to dabble in both writing (I've had some short fiction published) and of course video games - both playing them and developing them.

I came across this site via a Google search. I must admit, I was not aware before that it existed but it's certainly a refreshing change to see an all Australian gaming site, so I had to sign up immediately.

I don't tend to be a very active poster (I'm usually busy with school, work or my creative pursuits) but I'm always around if you want a chat. I'll post up a couple of my own developed games for you as well.

I'm going to put this in plain English since people didn't seem to grasp it the last time I said it.

If any user criticises a new member for being someone else anywhere bar a report post, or a PM, you will get a short term ban from the site. I cannot make this any clearer than that, everyone just get over it, it's getting REALLY old.

Yo Gaia, what's your major at Deakin? I left there a few years back (did Drama and Film), pretty sweet Arts faculty in my opinion.

@Sin: I'm only a first year this year so I haven't decided upon a major yet but I'm leaning towards Psychology.

I'm to insane to study psychology - granted i did also do film, def post some of the games you have developed - what kind of stuff have you worked on?

Oh, and I've had a think over about the game design thing, if you want you can create a single thread in Creative about it where people can have a look and let you know how awesome/not awesome your work is. I don't really see it as any different to the photography stuff or whatever, just yeah, keep it to one thread.

I really liked his stuff and wouldn’t mind shooting a few questions… also, despite my um… generally avoiding 99% of gaming talk in this place, actually quite enjoy discussing developing mod’s and what not – so I went ahead and made a general indie game/mod thread in the creative forum

Maybe a Mod could shift Dark Gaia’s stuff into it or something.

Hi, I'll set up a small thread then.

Aside from Psychology, I'm also interested in doing Anthropology as my degree allows for two majors. I also write as well, so that may something to think about. So far, Deakin seems to be a great uni.

@Sin: Feel free to delete my old game threads - I'll post them all up in a smaller thread.

I did. I hope nobody minded, but as I had three games to contribute, rather than cluttering up the thread with lots of images and walls of text, I simply linked to the game websites where people can find out more.

Long time lurker looking for a new home to post in, after another 360 forum I've been moderating on for 5 years started to lose its regulars and become less fun to hang around in.

Welcome. What type of artist are you?

@JP - "artist" could mean painter, graphic artist, singer, poet, stuffed teddy designer, etc. not necessarily anything that can be posted. #justsayin
