Looking to buy a decent headset for my PS3 so I can comfortably play while my Mrs sleeps (she works night shift and I'm always gaming with the sound low).

Wondering if anyone can recommend a decent headset (preferably wireless).

I'm going to suggest Turtle Beach.

Look at the Ear Force P11, I have the Xbox equivalent and they are pretty impressive.

The one and only Official PS3 Headset is the best out of all of them apparently. Sure, it's expensive, but oh so worth it icon_smile.gif

I like the style of the Turtle Beach headsets, but their range is pretty limited for PS3 in the wireless category.

I've got a very sweet set of Sennheiser headphones that are wired I can use, was just hoping there was something wireless that could compare.

Can the sound of the PS3 actually be put through the headset? Or just people talking to you online? I've always wondered. I have a wireless headset but I just plug headphones into my TV so I can play at night without people hearing.

nope dont think so, i think its only for chat, i could be wrong, it was a fair while ago that i went playing around in the settings.
im pretty sure in the audio set up there is no option for it, and in the headset set up i doubt there is any setting for it.

has anyone bought the new Official Wireless Stereo 7.1 Headset yet?
i'm interested to hear some opinions on them as i'm looking to get a surround sound headset and these dont seem to be out in australia yet but i've seen some online stores advertising them. they seem like good value compared with some other brands.
