Had to stay back at work last night. Which meant I came home later. Which means I went to bed later. Which means I got bugger all sleep. Which means I'll be angry today. Argh! >_< _________________

I hate it when I am waiting for a package and these 2 things happen:
-After waiting a few hours I go outside to see a red AusPost card in the screen door (My local delivery guy is like a ninja...seems to wait until I get in the shower to turn up)
-Doesn't turn up when it's meant to.
These are truly 2 things that make me quite depressed

I take it your post office is really far away or something?
I've never been at the door to sign for a package...ever XD. But I don't mind walking to the Post Office at all. _________________

I haven't seen my mum for over six weeks (I was away for two weeks, and she left for a month the day before I got back), so I was excited to see her again when she got home. She told me to tidy my room while she was gone, and I didn't get to doing all of it, so there's still stuff to be sorted, but I thought she'd be pleased at the amount of stuff I threw out since she's always going on about it. Nope. So far she's:
- complained about stuff on the kitchen bench (I left stuff there to remind me what I need to do)
- complained about the "messy" family room (there are a whole three boxes of my stuff in there. Small ones. In a corner.)
- complained about me eating too many sweets (she opened the fridge and I had a few kit kats in there, which I actually haven't touched)
- complained about me not eating enough sweets (she bought me more peanut candy and I haven't finished the first lot yet)
- complained about my eczema (which is actually really good at the moment)
- complained about my weight (she claims I put on weight, I haven't - she's probably just used to all the malnourished Vietnamese people now)
- complained about pretty much anything else
Thanks Mum, I missed you too! _________________

Trying to connect my DS Lite to my ADSL2+ modem router.
Everytime I go to test the connection on the DS it somehow causes the modem router to restart. o_O
It's the only thing that causes it to restart, makes no sense. _________________

What encryption does it use?
DS Lite only supports WEP. _________________

That's what I'm using.
It just doesn't make any sense that the DS Lite restarts the modem router. And that the DS Lite is the only device to cause the modem router to restart. _________________

I can tell you now, Hooking up a DS Lite to an existing wireless network sucks.
If you're using a laptop with wireless functionality, I would recommend hooking it up via ethernet cable to the router, and then enabling a virtual wireless network from it with no security (if your laptop supports it).
DS Lite -> wireless to laptop -> wired to router
That's how I do it with my PSP and DS as they are the only devices that throw tantrums with the router amongst all my other devices. _________________ Playing: Fallout: New Vegas

Hearing a NZ earthquake joke........ already
FFS they are still digging people out! Amputating limbs so they can carry them to safety, minutes before the area caves in around them! Survivors seeing families/friends/workmates being dragged out dead...or watching them die by a shower of debris....rescuers having to choose which one to get out first...injured and trapped ones telling them to take others first sacrificing themselves....children who were at school when the earthquake(s) happened and waiting to be picked up, not sure their parents are trapped or worse dead. Families and friends waiting outside their loved one's workplace, which has gone up in flames, praying for a miracle....
It is not funny....would you be making jokes or be laughing if it was here? Were you laughing when it flooded, watching the footage of Toowoomba, Gratham and the surrounds? People like you dont deserve to breathe this air that now a poor soul doesn't.

I heard looters are stalking around...
As per my comment from the Queensland floods, they deserve a bullet.

A lot of people deal with tragedy through humor. It's actually pretty healthy. _________________

@Pixie: Not laughing isn't going to bring anyone back, unfortunately. Too late already. The situation is messed up. Some people deal with bad situations with jokes.
@Cyph: So people are dying and you think we should add to that by killing more people? Such a stupid way of looking at things. _________________

@ theory: fair enough, and i usually don't. But i found it offensive and malicious. I won't repeat it, but it's doing it's rounds on FB apparently. It's just this disaster is close to my heart and after everything going on lately, it made my blood boil.

Yes, that's the way I see it. You may call it stupid, I call it just. We've had the discussion about my feelings on looters. Let's not go there again.
But I wonder if you would be so sympathetic if someone was looting the belongings of your injured/deceased loved one.
--Update--
Oh, I said they deserve a bullet, I never mentioned one resulting in death.

Can we just go back and re-read the argument from the flood thread and pretend we had it again? _________________

Pretty likely. Unless the looters killed my loved ones. _________________

I actually agree with cyph here. The flood ... Well, its water, silt and mud... The Christchurch situatuation is bloody horrible... The number of deaths already is shocking. Looting? When you could be helping? These scum deserves to be put down or put away for a long time. _________________

Since when was looting and helping mutually exclusive?
Also, looting may be recognised by you to be morally wrong, in a stance that has never dealt with a disastrous situation like this, but when you're actually in the middle of it, the intensity could lead you to doing such things. _________________
