Cycle your modem? When I used to get capped I found it wouldn't go back to normal until about 2am anyway. _________________

It's okay, I just called Amnesty International for you. They told me to tell you they will investigate this abuse of human rights immediately.

The conclusion to my haunting. You can read Part 1 and Part 2 before going ahead if you wish.
The final week before the ghostbuster arrived was a change of pace. The ghost got a lot more quieter. It was like he was hoping we'd think he disappeared or was behaving well.
My sister's friend, who is a hypnotherapist, came and slept over one night, on the sole purpose of meditating in my sister's room. It was around 3am when the breathing started again, so he got a chair and sat in the left hand corner of the room (where it breathes the most (it's the right corner for me over the wall)) and he started to go into deep meditation. He said could hear the sickly breathing coming from my room. He also heard him walk past the room a few times, but the ghost never entered my sister's room with him in it. He was asking if the ghost would leave etc. After a while, he felt a tingling chill go down from his head. This went on for 2 minutes, then the air was silent... In the morning, he said the ghost is gone, but my sister and I still felt he was around.
Two days later, I was on my own, during late afternoon, and my door handle started to shake and rattle furiously. That same day, I was in lounge room at 8:30pm and the tall lamp on the other side of the room that I had on, started to dim and flicker. Nothing strange, it happens to everyone, but 5 minutes later, I heard two deep breathes come from there and my cat immediately runs outside on the balcony. 10 minutes later, a strange, metallic, whiny sound was coming from outside, I walk outside and the sound was coming from outside my sister's room. I walk back in and my cat is still outside sitting upright meowing at the wall where the sound was coming from.
I only heard him breathing in my room one time this week, and it wasn't as loud as it usually is. This week, I started to feel extremely drained just like my sister has been, for no reason at all, so we were both conking out.
I did try and get recording of the breathing most nights this week, and even though he wasn't as loud, I did get him on tape one time, but the quality is low and you have to put the volume right up. It is a bit hard to hear, but there is definitely two breathing at one time. As you hear me inhale, it inhales shortly after.
I didn't have a video camera with night vision, so I had to make due with my camera and my phone. My camera can only record 90 minutes and my phone could only do 60 minutes. What's strange though is, no matter if I used my camera or my phone, the majority of my recordings stopped at 29:50. There's no sleep function for either. I did hear something slide off my shelve and hit the floor in one of the recordings, but nothing was on the floor...
So finally, the ghosterbuster came, she knew nothing of the events in the house, other-then that it was haunted. She picked up on the breathing, she even picked up on what kind of breathing it was. She said it was a man who had a lot of chemicals in him and that made him breathe like he did.
I'm usually not very serious about the 'mumbo jumbo' kind of healing, but she's travelled across Australia with her job. Our bedrooms were the main forces here, especially my sister's, and so she she did her thing and got rid of the ghost. She sat us down and cleansed/healed us. I admit, I did feel a little light headed when she was doing this to me; she does a lot of hand movements and humming. Then she did the whole house.
Now when I enter my own or my sister's room, the air isn't as dense, or heavy, or stuffy. I can't explain how lighter the air feels now. There was always a different feeling when you enter the rooms, but now there is nothing blocking it. You got to be here to understand just how different it feels, and I'm not just saying it for the sake of it.
And that's it... an anticlimactic end to the story. No blood on the walls, no ghostly showdowns, no demons, just a lost man. _________________

Did you get any more of the ghost on video/audio?
And can you upload any of this?
I would love to see/hear it in action. _________________

Come on guys, this is the "what ticks you off" thread.
As sad as it is that he actually noticed that his internet was still capped at that hour, he was not suggesting that it was a super serious problem; just something that ticked him off. _________________

It's called a joke, Esposch, I thought you had learned to recognise them by now, but apparently not. Besides which, it was 10 whole minutes past midnight and he was complaining that he wasn't uncapped. That deserved some degree of sarcasm and it would seem I'm not the only one who thought so.

I could tell it was a joke, but still - he was complaining in a forum where we all complain about stupid things. _________________

For the record, I got an email this morning saying that Internode are having troubles with my account, so I won't be able to get my broadband speed that I pay for two more days yet!
Also, it shouldn't matter if it's 10 minutes or 1 minute. It's the 19th, so I should've be uncapped. I agree to pay my monthly bill to them, the least Internode could do is correctly provide me the sevrvice I pay for as a loyal customer. _________________

People who approach me in bars and open with “Oh Rob – you’re a computer person – would you mind…”
As it’s almost exclusively followed by some insanely large project… Backed by literally no understanding of the time or effort said request would involve…
I had a guy walk up to me tonight and ask if I would mind running a website… as in - maintaining, updating content and being the soul operator of… from â€this point on’… mates rates of course.
Then the â€oh… oh… yeah – okay no worries’ passive aggression/disappointment when I explained politely I wasn’t interested.
…It’s the literal equivalence of walking up to a mechanic “oh hey you like cars – mind rebuilding my engine? – oh… oh… yeah… okay no worries”

I bet if some girl walked up to you and asked you to clean her pipes you'd be all over it though.
You and your double standards.

I will admit – I have been known to bend over backwards for a pretty face.
Granted I have also twisted myself into some other positions for a whole lot less.
Take that exactly how you want to.

Since I work in IT I completely understand. Some people are just so bloody rude.
Anyway my mate just broke my 2 1/2 year old 46-inch Sony Bravia X. We were playing some PS3 and he had the charging cable in his controller, he unplugs the cable from the controller and for some illogical reason throws it high up. Since the cable is still attached to the PS3(which sits under the TV) the cable inevitably dragged towards the PS3 and bam it hits the TV. There's now a small crack on the bottom right hand side of the screen which looks like dead pixels. It's noticable but not that really that obvious, but my mate said if it bothers me too much he'll fork out for a new one(he can easily afford it ) as long as he gets the old Bravia which is fair enough.
I do feel a bit conflicted about it though as it's not like he's just buying me a replacment DVD, a 46-inch Samsung 7 series would be just over $2000 after all. The issue is annoying but I just feel bad for some reason even though I'm well within my rights to get a new one... _________________

So a few pages back I wrote about the annoying girlfriend that was ruining my stay in Adelaide and controlling my friend.
One night she had work...So he made plans with me and stuff, we were all set to go and then later that night she called him and was all
"I got off work early wanna hang?"
and he was all "No I can't I'm seeing some friends, but you can come too"
Her: "Fine" *hangs up*
then she kept calling and texting him and they had some kind of fight.....He then said at 9pm "take me home, I need to go to bed".
So we did...Went home at 11am and he was talking to her on the phone. God knows what happened. At this stage I was pretty pissed because it ruined our night really, all he did was ditch us and call her.
Now I am probably out of line, but I begun telling everyone how much of a bitch she was...How controlling she is etc.
Well to cut a long story short......She found out and sent me this FB message
"So James let you stay with him for a week,
never asking for money for food,
letting you do whatever you want,
putting me to the side so he could see you,
and you bitch about his girlfriend to people?
i picked you up from the airport last week, and not even a single thankyou. i don't need you bitching about me, thanks.
you really don't deserve james' friendship, he's an amazing guy, and you treat him badly.
so have fun back in melbourne. "
Unfortunately I have no idea what to say, my friend wants me to apologise because he doesn't want us fighting (he's not mad at me at all) and I DID say thank you. And he DIDN'T put her to the side she was over every day for at least 6 hours minimum.....Any ideas what to do guys? _________________

Tell her to fuck off. You are not in the wrong and I've had to deal with people very similar to her. You said your friend isn't mad at you, right? Well just leave it at that because you have nothing to do with his girlfriend and she's obviously very unreasonable and selfish.
