^ Ha. Kung Fu Panda 2 is in post-production as we speak!
Anyway, Seth is about to star in "A funny, bittersweet and heart-wrenching story about a woman struggling to choose between two different types of love."
And then "A comedic account of a 27-year-old guy's cancer diagnosis, and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease."
AND THEN "An inventor and his mom hit the road together so he can sell his latest invention."
So I think his career is fine. _________________

Maybe this time he'll get more then 2 lines
Honestly I reckon he could get away with playing a slacker for the rest of his life if he played his cards right. I mean Samuel L Jackson has made a career of playing 'angry swearing black man' since the 80's. And Sandler is still putting out movies playing himself. _________________

The cast in this film is great. Personally, I enjoy Seth Rogen and being good mates with Judd Apatow he'll always have something to work on.

You know what sucks? This just came out in the UK and we have to wait TWO MONTHS for it. April 14 or something. Same with the US.
I think I remember ordering the Shaun of the Dead DVD from HMV.co.uk BEFORE the movie was released here. Shocking. _________________

Just watched it. Takes a while to kick in, although Hot Fuzz/Shaun of the Dead were the same there were some good laughs to be had in the beginning. Seems like they tried a bit hard to fill it in and some of the early laughs were a bit lame, a few repeated gags etc. In the end though it turned into the epicness of Shaun/Hot Fuzz which is always good. Will go to the cinemas when it comes out. _________________

Saw it lastnight, I thought it was good.
Quite a few gay jokes for cheap laughter, kinda crappy.
Everything else was great, excellent cast.
None of the following was mentioned which I wasn't happy about: _________________

| Quote: | | It's not part of the Cornetto Trilogy, the third film will be "The World's End" and written by Pegg and Wright, who wrote the first two. We should have full conversations in spoiler tags. |

Funny, I listened to an interview with Pegg and Frost on the Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith podcast and they discussed that.
Apparently that is the one thing that they are unhappy about, that the film comes off as homophobic. In the original script there was a large monologue in the scene where Paul asks if the guys are gay in which he points out how humans think they are so advanced but they can't accept basic sexual desires. He uses prisons etc. as an example of when societies influence is removed homosexuality is abundant and seen as a normality. It's actually a really great piece of writing and I'm not doing it justice, I recommended listening to the interview as it's read out in it's entirety.
However obviously all that was cut and Pegg and Frost now admit that the film is front loaded with what seems like shallow "gay jokes" as there is no pay off later in the film. They express their regret for that as they never wanted the film to come off as homophobic.
Just thought that was interesting... _________________
