Tou che'.
However, they may have rich parents who would buy it for them, that's kinda believable, though unlikely
@Fetid; yeah I'm wanting an apartment in a poshy area as there is more demand and higher rent, as well as maintaining and increasing value over time quickly as opposed to a house in a......poorer.....area for the same price. I know if I buy a house in the poorer area, they have heaps of land - perfect to redevelop on. So it's a catch 22.

I bought something from the US, when i received it, the thing did not work.
I contacted the seller and they wont give me a refund, instead they want me to buy something else from them and they will give me a discount of $25 (which is only about half what i paid for the original thing because they charged $20 postage)
all of their items are close to $100 and they have nothing i want. _________________

I get an email from Ebay every day with useless stuff heavily discounted. This came to me a few minutes ago and thought you may want it Fetid:

Apparently one has been sold, so I guess you already knew about this deal to begin with ey

Don't worry, Fetid, by the time we are old men, robot wives will be cheap and plentiful. At least that's what I'm counting on.

How can people afford these places!
Maybe it's just jealousy, not anger, but still - it would be nice if that was me one day.... |
There are plenty of place in Adelaide for that price range, but you shouldn't be trying for a house. Investment properties are a great idea, but don't over extend yourself. You are better off buying a 250k unit than borrowing to the limit.
For family purposes, unless you are starting a family right now, you might want to think of the property process as a 2 step process. Get something (unit) affordable now, that you can pay a significant chunk off the principle, then get a house when you need it. If for investment only, just get a unit.

My 60GB PS3 decided to freeze while I was playing FFXII, and refuses to turn on except to glare a red light at me a few times.
It also refuses to give up my FF12 disc. I believe my only options now are to cough up $250 for repair + disc retrieval or find some way to take it apart myself? This is the third PS3 I've had that has failed. Sad face. _________________

Had two bug-related incidents today. Just before leaving in the car to buy a PS3, we noticed some wasps had set up a nest in the front wall of the house. I feel a bit ambivalent about the whole thing because the wasps haven't bothered us yet and I can't picture our landlords paying for something like wasp removal. We actually sat in the car for a couple of minutes counting the wasps coming in and out Brain Training-style so on the plus side they have entertainment value.
During the car trip we had the windows down because 20-year-old car doesn't have air-con. Mid-trip a huntsman spider decided to climb up the outside of my window. I had a complete mental blank because my last car-huntsman incident involved one climbing down my seatbelt (last year). I was desperately trying to fling it off with a piece of paper when my partner fortunately kept his head (he's worse with spiders than me) and told me to shut the window. I frantically started to roll the window up as fast as I could, watching the spider crawl up the window. Things literally came to a crunch when the window closed onto one of the spider's legs, phew. The spider finally staggered off to destinations unknown minus the one leg still wedged in the window.
A traumatic time was had by all.

The whole gay rights thing popping up on SBS news again. Not the report, mind you, but how much it gets to me. Of all social and political issues that exist today, from abortion to war, the whole gay marriage thing is the one I find so fundamentally absurd and bizarre. I know why it's illegal, but its just so crazy that in this day and age it is still like that. Not allowing gays to marry is, to me, as absurd as denying women the right to vote.
Abortion issues and all that I can understand to some extent, as they're sensitive issues with a lot of complexities that not everybody is educated on, but gay marriage...its so crazy. _________________

Besides the people who don't recognise 'gay' people, I think people have a hang up over the use of the term marriage. Many people see it as a religious union, and thus, want to keep it that way (unless their church allows gay marriage). I for one really couldn't care less, but I understand why people are opposed to gay 'marriage'.
