Or fire a soul arrow before he notice's you, then roll out of the way before his attack then fire another and his bound for the floor.
Anyway I started a new game in Demon's Souls and took out Phlanx (way harder then I remember). I'm clueless when it comes to builds or where I should go next. help please?

Started up Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
I've gotten so many game overs, but I finally kept my units alive and made most of them awesome. Seriously one false move and you lose a sweet member, it's infuriating. I could care less about some of them, but if you level them up and they die, they're gone icon_cry.gif
Playing normal mode (hard mode in japan) and have made it to the last battle of part 1. Hoorah for critical hits.

Check out this page for character builds, Robo. I personally went for a Blueblood Sword build.

I killed the Blue Dragon just before and immediately afterward I was invaded. There must have been latency issues because he was skipping all over the place and somehow managed to backstab me three times in a row. I seriously couldn't do anything icon_confused.gif What made it worst is that as I was making my way back to claim my 80k odd souls (which were at the very end of the level where the dragon died), two Fat Officials killed me instantly with their fire attack. *sigh*

Just finished Resonance of Fate... ending made no sense. I don't really understand the story... I appreciated the theme of 'fate' and all but I Just don't get what Rowen was trying to do and the deal with Leanne. Also wtf is with that chick with ethereal wings, they did not explain her at all, maybe if I fight get to the end of Neverland they'll explain something but you don't put plot characters in bonus dungeons =/ Anyway last boss was ridiculously tough, 1.5 hours worth of retries... I threw everything at him, at the end toxic ex grenades and flame ammo + hand grenade ex to chop up his health won it for me, so hard =( Like did people in here who have completed it do all the missions? I did every single mission which took me to 80 hours and lvl88 Leanne, lvl78 Vashyron and Zephyr (since I gave grenades most of the time). But yeah I wanted to pull my hair out at that last boss battle, interested to see how others did. So yeah, post game bosses are lvl230.... lots of arena grinding to get through neverland.... ok what the heck as I was typing this the credits was rolling then after the credits... this scene... what happened to post apocalypse world, where did this green come from? SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS CONFUSING GAME TO ME AHHHHH!!! Ok I'll get some sleep now, peace out guys =)

The story is vague and much is left for the player to form the story from the different events played out in the game. I believe that is the intent and this is one method in Japanese story-telling which I have encountered before. Naturally, it didn't really fit with the western crowd. Below is my understanding and interpretation of the story.

The "chick with the wings"/Rebecca is someone from the outside. Due to the change in environment, Basel was created. Those who have managed to survive outside of the city surrounding Basel, have mutated. They also bear hatred to the people who lived in the city around Basel. Rebecca is the person who attacked the city, which was "told" in the Chapter that Vashyron was still a member of the Knights with Cardinal Garigliano (the old man).

Rowen, wanted to kill Leanne/Reanbell to proved the existance of "God". Leanne was supposed to be dead when she is 20, and when Rowan found out she is still alive, he was shocked, confused and angry. Lifespan is controlled by the Zenith System and the system is absolute. Leanne is supposed to be dead and the only reason she is still alive meant to Rowan that there is a "God" who performed a miracle. He is angry that if there really is a "God", why is Leanne spared but not Prelate.

The ending scene showed the trio left Basel city. The "green" showed that the world had healed herself, and because no one had ever left Basel city and came back to tell what they saw, it was also never revealed in any part of the story until the ending, as the story follows the trio. It also showed Leanne blue eyes and the palm of her hands. The blue eyes signify that she has discovered her quartz. The hand showed that her quartz has also been with her, because it was switched and embeded into her palm by the professor, (shown in one of the cut-scene).

Gameplay wise, the final story boss-stage was very easy for me. I find some other battles harder really. I don't follow the method of Scatch->Kill, but Gauge-break with dual-pistols and Tri-attacks to wear the targets down.

You can just fill in a form on their site or ask their representative (Rob) in their Whirlpool thread but if it's been less than 25 working days, it's out of their hands, and completely up to Royal Mail and Australia Post to get it where it's supposed to go. If it's been over 25 working days though, they lodge a complaint with Royal Mail or something.
Only thing you really can do is wait, unfortunately.

Send them a message regarding your order here:

http://www.ozgameshop.com/contact

They'll probably say that if it hasn't arrived in 30 days, a replacement will be sent out.

Havn't posted in here in a while... so progress report... on things. Mostly RPGs. :'D

Valkria Chronicles 2;

Absolutely loving this game. Currently at a roadblock with the March story mission, but so far I've poured eight hours into this and i have no intention of stopping. Music and voice acting (besides Avan) is awesome. I love the art style and just everything. :D

N3: Ninety Nine Nights

Just started this last night, it's... weird. I chose to skip the tutorial as most games tell you what to do as you go. So... I started it and... ew. Voice acting is terrible, the gameplay is fairly average, but the music is great. XD;

Pokemon Heart Gold;

Restarted this this morning. I picked Cyndaquil, and quickly added a Sentret and Pidgey to my team. Battled my way up to Violet City and Bellsprout Tower. Captured a Rattata here, and after fighting the Sage(?) at the top of the tower, Cyndaquil evolved!

I moved to the Gym next. I used the Gym Trainers to give Sentret some experience, and before I knew it, he was at level 7. Falkner was a pushover, going down after a few Embers and Quick Attacks. After I recieved the Egg from the Aide at the Pokemart, I made my way down to the Ruins of Alph. Before I head to Azalea Town I'm going to get Pidgey to evolve, and catch a Geodude and possibly a Wooper. Hoppip is also a possibility.

ok i'll shut up now.

Ok I'm confused with Demon's Souls, what am I meant to pump my stats into? I think I've been doing it too evenly which may make things harder for me. I'm on Soul Level 14 atm, I'm going to be more of a magic user than physical attack.

edit: man this is a chore, i'm hitting the red dragon with soul arrow in 1-2, i do 22hp each hit, gonna take ages =/

edit2: ok i'm going to have a long shower while my mp recharges, i hope enemies don't respawn over time like WKC =/

Demon's Souls is like crack. I literally just spent 5 hours straight playing it, it's so hard to put down. Anyway within those 5 hours I managed to finish the game icon_biggrin.gif . Here's my character after I finished the game:

I swear I killed a third Black Phantom but I guess it never registered. 68 deaths seems like a lot but it's actually not too bad I don't think.

I'm gonna come out and say it, it's not a hard game. I have no idea why people hype the difficulty up so much. A hard game would be one that is constantly cheap and something I'd be stuck on for hours if not days. In Demon's Souls I found that if I died it was entirely my fault and at no point did I feel I could never make any progress. Also I don't think death is that punishing in this game simply because you never get a game over. Sure you lose all your souls at the time of death (you get a second chance to claim them) but as long as you don't horde them, then death isn't that big of a deal. Another thing I liked is that the game can be completed at soul level 1. Yup, you don't have to level your character up at all as long as you have the skill to not get hit at all.

Overall I really enjoyed the game not just because it was a blast to play but that it was a truly unique experience. There just isn't any game like this out there, especially when it comes to online play. Now I need to go for that Platinum trophy.

Putting stats into everything would be a bad idea because you won't excel at anything. For a mage build I would put my stats into everything except strength, endurance, dexterity and luck. Those four attributes will be a complete waste to a mage. You should focus on vitality (you'll need HP to take a few hits), intelligence, magic and faith.

The Red Dragon isn't so bad but I would wait till the end of the game when you have an upgraded bow. A quality long bow is the best to take them down I reckon. And don't worry about the enemies, as long as you don't die then they won't respawn.

Oh also another thing, you can't actually kill the Red Dragon in 1-1, he'll just fly away when you get it down to 50% HP. You can kill him in 1-2 though, if you can get into position on the first guard tower then you can put two arrows into him every time he flies by.

I think you just described it the same as everyone else. Tough but fair. The game doesn't cheat you, it just doesn't hold your hand either.

wee killed red dragon, that wasn't too bad, I think only about 50 soul arrows. Now to run back to make sure I don't lose the 8k souls I just got.

ok should i learn Enchant Weapon and Heal?

edit: k enchant weapon works great with my Scimitar =D

edit 2: ahha dogs almost got me but i remembered yahtzee's demon's souls review so was ready for them

edit 3: ok didn't realise 1-2 was that short, in battle with tower knight now, managed to get one soul arrow on him from up the stairs, trying to figure out what angle that was since it took about 1/8 of his health.

I will create a new character tomorrow and we could play some coop if you'd like OropherX. I've been really wanting to get into the online features but it's not much fun when randoms constantly disconnect on me. You own the US version right? It won't take very long to get into your level range (we can team up within 10 SL of each other).

Anyway browsing through the palgn threads while my mp recovers, tower knight is down to half health, it's a joke really that I can stand this far up and hit him but his blue spear can't reach me fromt here, I feel like I'm missing out on an epic battle if I were to melee attack him though =(

Aww bummer. I bought my copy from Ozgameshop and it was supposed to be the PAL version but they sent me a US version icon_sad.gif

Meleeing the Tower Knight is even easier icon_razz.gif. He only has two attacks from behind that are easy to dodge and once he falls over you can pretty much kill him in 4 hits.

I'm making some decent progress in Demon's Souls. It turns out that I was having trouble with the red-eyed knight, not the blue-eyed ones. Those are only a minor nuisance, two good Soul Arrows take them down. Anyway, I got through 1-1 yesterday, I beat Phalanx on my first attempt. icon_smile.gif Since then I've attempted 2-1 but haven't quite managed to finish it. I was having a little trouble, so I decided to level up a bit, I'm at level 20 now. I'm making a Mage build, so I've been putting points into Intelligence, Magic and Endurance with a little Vitality. I was adding Endurance for the increased fire resistance to help me with the fire casting enemies in 2-1.

I read that enemies drop more souls if you have Pure Black World Tendancy, so I spent a while trying to accomplish that in world 1. I suicided in body form and then tried to kill King Doran, but that didn't go so well. It seems like the main way to get Black World Tendancy is to kill yourself a few times, but you need Ephemeral Eyes for that. They're not so easy to get, so I think I'll just forget about the whole thing and try to make some progress.

As for equipment, I'm using the default Rapier weapon with a Heater shield on level 3. It's a pretty interesting game, and as others have said, the game isn't really that hard. It's very challenging, and a little unforgiving at times, but with enough skill and patience you can come out on top. icon_smile.gif I can't play as much as I'd like since I'm back at TAFE now, I posted this on the train on the way there.

Stop talking about Demons Souls damn it, I don't want to start it again (because my PS3 stuffed up and I lost my character). So just stop talking about it and making it sound great.
