You sure mate? We get it on ONE HD up in NSW tomorrow night. It's probably the same in Melbourne.

Late reply, but yeah.

The AFL is broadcast across 2 free-to-air stations. Channel 7 is in charge of Friday and Sunday, while Channel 10 gets both Saturday slots. Channel 10 is awesome and are putting on the NAB cup games they have rights to, in Melbourne it's on One and Ten tonight, but Channel 7, despite having 3 channels including 7MATE, can't even put the footy on one of their secondary channels. They put on Rocky 2 last night on 7MATE. Why would you watch an old sports movie like that before the first organised AFL match of the year? Channel 7 stink. They won't put the footy on live, they won't even play the NAB cup, and their commentary team sucks. I really hope they lose the broadcast rights for next year.

I meant to do that when I got back, but was busy/couldn't be bothered. We did have some nice meals in the end. Subiaco was reasonable, as was Leederville. We went back to the latter to try out Little Caesars which was worth it. Although I still think the pizza at the LC brewery was the best. We went to Cottesloe on our last night too and went to one of the places beside the beach (Blue Duck or something like that?).

I'm sure a trip to WA would be great if you were in Perth for just a night, maybe two, then went up or down the coast. 2 weeks is a long time to spend in a city that quite frankly doesn't have much going on. It seems like a lot of the locals we saw had figured the same thing so they just hit the booze hard and early, any day of the week (is the drinking mining boom related?).

That being said, the colleague I was with stayed on to go down to the Margaret River for a few days before coming back to Sydney. She said the experience was much the same as the rest of our time over there.

We'll be back in mid-March for a few more days on this client. When I saw we, I mean our team as I don't know if I'll be included in that, but I wouldn't mind the trip. At this stage I'm pushing to be included in a potential trip to Japan, and at the least down to Melbourne for a few days this week.

Things are getting intense. The closer to the day the ghostbuster comes, the more active the ghost is. She warned us when we make the appointment, the ghost would get upset, and it is preeeeeeetty obvious.

During the day around midday, I was walking down the hall and I heard ruffling in the hallway cupboard, I looked in and of course nothing was in there. It wasn't until my sister came home from work when she told me she heard the ghost the night before opening that door wide open and closing it multiple times, as well as opening and closing some kitchen cupboards...

Since the ghost is attached to my sister, it has been known to be with her outside of the house. But it was the first time that it was clearly obvious he was there. She was getting a spa treatment and she was left in the room alone. The door opened and the ghost went around the table she was on, shook it a bit and then left the room...

Last night I went to bed at around 1:30am and as soon as I turned the light off and went in the bed, he started to breathe heavily. It wasn't long after that, when the bathroom taps blasted on. They were on for 5 seconds, then turned off, then again, it blasts on and off again. I get up and head towards the bathroom and then it stops. I tell it to leave us alone and head back to my room. I then hear it leave the bathroom and clear it's throat. Then it casually walked around the house and then back to my door. Then the breathing started again...

Now Wednesday night was an event to say the least. The ghost has spoken to my sister once before, after she told he to go away multiple times one night and he replied with an "Okaaaay". But, it is clear he doesn't like me.

I went to bed with him breathing in the corner as per usual, but not as loud as he usually is. I fall asleep. I wake up three times during the night, all three times I have sleep paralysis; couldn't move anything, not a muscle on my face. On the third time, I wake up and mumble something like "let me go", and the ghost replies with "only if you scream loud enough". Now if that wasn't enough, with the little opening in the mouth, I start screaming. Only thing is... I wasn't controlling my scream. It was done involuntarily. It wasn't that loud as I couldn't move anything. The whole time I was screaming, I was thinking 'What. The. F'.

I am now relieved of the paralysis and then I move to the left side of my bed. The ghost is now breathing on the right side of my bed where I was at. I tell it to go away and let me sleep. It stopped for a while then started again. I turned around and faced the right hand side while I tried to get to sleep. It then stopped...

My sister isn't getting harassed this last week, but she is feeling extremely drained, and conks out into deep sleep. My sister said she wouldn't be able to handle what happened if it happened to her, she would have ran straight to my room.

The ghostbuster is coming in on Friday, and it is going to be interesting how it unfolds. Even though it is frustrating, I am very fascinated by all of this, scary and creepy it may be.

First thing I thought of:

"Why don't white people just leave the house when there's a ghost in the house?"

Heh. <--- Disclaimer: naughty words.

But seriously, I realise you say it's attached to your sister but if I woke up to some of the things you've described I wouldn't be living there the next day. That's just me.

I'm just a fearless bastard icon_wink.gif I'm fascinated by it. The ghost first came after she took up a night job (which she has quit). He's fairly quiet with my sister only a few cases here and there, only when males are in the house for long periods, it acts up. And since now I moved in... well.

Story gives me the shivers. Reminds me of some of my own experiences, except without as much obvious poltergeist activity.

I'm impressed how well you can keep it together, let alone go back to sleep.

Well I left out the part where I yelled out "F### off!", but that was only one time. That's because it was deliberately taunting me. I showed some weakness, I guess.

I'll be sure to come back next week with part 3. No doubt this week will be interesting...

No offense JoeJoe, but I'm very skeptical. Every instance you've described is at night around bed time when your brain is most likely to play tricks on you, and I see no reason to believe it's anything else. Do you have any evidence at all?

I understand you're skeptical and sure some instances may be mind tricks, but there is obviously something here. He has played up during the day. I'm not sure if your saw my first post about this, but this has been happening to many people. We've had people stay over not knowing about it. And the next morning, they said they heard breathing in the corner of the room.

The ghost has been with my sister for a year and a half, and has made physical contact with her and my brother. And if he is close to you, you can feel the breathing. The fact that the cats are very aware of the ghost, staring at it when it is present, shows there is something.

Lights turning on and TV going on and off, seeing doors/cupboards open and closing with no breeze at all, taps spraying... it's too much to be coincidental. It's only the last month since it's became more active. But he isn't active every night (to my knowledge).

I'll try to get record of the breathing, since it's the most common thing.

I'm very skeptical of ghost stories, in fact I don't believe in ghosts at all. But the rest of my family has supposedly had an encounter with a ghost but all the instances were during very late at night such as between 12am and 3am so I reckon they're either just imagining it or hallucinating (although all cases have been in the same house over the past 30 years). I've woken up in my sleep in the middle of the night before thinking I've seen a massive spider in my bed or on the ceiling, it's probably something like that for their cases.

I'm very curious that's it's been happening during the day though! Don't ghosts only come out at nighttime?

As a skeptic, I could easily attribute the breathing to something else, but that is just weird. I really hope the Ghostbuster fixes things, whether the ghost is in your imagination or not.

Can't be a ghost, they just don't exist...

It is much more likely to be one of our shape-shifting reptilian overlords, whose cloaking device has malfunctioned, causing him to get stuck in a parallel dimension, and who can still communicate using rudimentary interactions due to a tear in the fabric of existence caused by his use of the very same device. You're in big trouble if the reptilian is able to repair his device, so be sure not to keep any uranium or large amounts of tungsten in the house. The reptilians are commonly known for not discriminating between male and female humans when practising interspecies breeding.

Ghosts... that's just silly.

Not really - the more authentic cases around have things happening during the day. The night time only thing can be attributed to both an over active imagination and Hollywood stereotypes.

But that's the thing, it's not just me. The main kind of breathing is just an inhale, from the back roof of the mouth vibrating. A similar sound to snoring. My sister and I can hear it at the same time.

I know I sound like I'm just trying to defend myself, but we'll see at the end of the week. The ghostbuster said don't tell her details, she will find out when she gets here by herself.

But I'm just a guy from teh internetz, right?

I think you'd like a family friends thesis ?oe ?oe, it's pretty much just one long rationalisation of what something like your ghost could be. From a mathematical and scientific point of view a lot of what he's written is assumption and basing results off of things that can't be quantified (a fucking /huge/ assumption makes up the basis of his entire thesis). But it's a pretty cool read and if you're really into this sort of thing it might help qualify what's happening for you.

A recording would be interesting, but far from proof, I would still be skeptical if I heard a recording of it, but I would know that there is an unidentified sound and it's not all mind tricks / placebos.

None of what you said changes my mind at all though. I'm curious though, that person you claim didn't know of the ghost but said they heard breathing the next morning, or get told of the ghost the next morning and then claim they heard it last night?

If I were you ?oe?oe, me and my ass would be out of that house and not looking back. Stuff your sister, if she wants to *live* with some kind of supernatural bully, then suit herself.

--update--

About not moving and trying to scream....

I've had that happen to me multiple times throughout my life in my bedroom in my parents' house. It's always the same dream/nightmare (which I swear is real) that triggers it and now I'm wondering if there is more to (after reading your experience).

I always sense something approaching my room. Slowly I see this dark silhouette of a tall man getting closer. His stands besides my bed and puts his face near mine, but I don't recall anything being said although I am trying to scream but only the softest voice comes out. I can't move either. Then he goes to strike me. Sometimes I wake up with bruises on my arms and othertimes scratch marks on my chest (as if only three nails scratched me).

Now that hasn't happened to me in a long time, maybe 5 years. But that's because I only sleep at my parents place about once a week if that. Still, the similarities make me wonder.
