Yeah, it's fan made. News on Persona 5? I wish! Man, I can't wait until we hear something about it. Catherine is all well and good, but that's what I really want. I still really hope that Catherine makes it over here though. _________________

Atlas have been putting ads for PS3 developers despite Catherine being well in progress. Could be an indicator for Persona 5. _________________

From the Persona Team Director:
| Siliconera wrote: | Katsura Hashino, leader of the Persona team and director of Catherine, posted a tantalizing comment in his latest blog.
"Next year, we will be able to announce various titles, I think."
Right now, the only project project the team unveiled is Catherine, but with plans to hire more staff things are brewing in their office. Hashino thanked fans for giving their original title, Catherine, such a warm reception and said he hopes people will anticipate future projects from the "P team." |
Well ... anyone happy about this news?
It'll probably not be Persona 5, though, probably Catherine 2 or Madison or something.
I always hate announcements like this, because of the amount of time we have to wait to hear the answer, and usually it's never anything you want, but that's just probably me being pessimistic! Plus he says, "I think", so what does that mean??? _________________

I thought the deal was Catherine and Persona 5 were being worked on by different teams. It was announced quite a while ago now.
Anyway at least we will hear something next year

Oh, I didn't know that ... or if I did, I've forgotten it.
In any case, they could be other SMT games, couldn't they? Or ... something else entirely?
Anyway, I guess time will tell. _________________

That video before was awesome, I'm itching to replay Persona 3 right now, but I thought instead of replaying the PS2 version, I'd buy the Portable version and do it as the new FeMC.....If I could actually find it for sale anywhere that is.
And I look forward to any announcements, and I hope Catherine DOES come out here or in America at least so I can import it, it looks very good! _________________

Persona 3 Portable can be a little tricky to get your hands on, since it never got a PAL release (I have no idea why). You'll either have to import it through Play-Asia and such, or find a way to download it from the american PSN store (I got myself a PSN card from www.hdmoviesource.com). _________________

I was randomly googling for any possible new Persona 5 info and I found something, but nobody seems to be sure what this could be from (haven't seen this here yet, hope I didn't overlook it). An artbook was released late last year which contains Soejima Shigenori's artworks between 2004-2010. You can check some of it here (I don't think any spoilers are shown, but I obviously can't say for the art of the games I didn't play).
The thing is, there are two artworks that nobody seems to know about where they came from (unlike all the other art, no game is mentioned in the tags);
There are rumors going around this could be art for Persona 5, but it could just as easily be scrapped concept art or simply art for another upcoming game. Some people have pointed out the mask in these images is quite typical for a Persona game, which I agree with. Of course, this doesn't have to mean anything, but it seems interesting enough.
Does anyone here recognise this art from anywhere, by any chance?
(Say no, say no... then we can hope for it being P5 art! xD)

I think it's concept art for Persona 4. Looking at the top image especially, the guy in the middle has a strong resemblance to P4's MC. The girl to his left looks like an early version of Naoto. The girl on his right...an early version of Chie perhaps? Also, the background reminds of some of the P4 art I've seen. _________________

Question for Persona 4 fans:
What did you guys think of Naoto? I have a friend here who is really obsessed with her and is drawing ecchi fan art of her. She loves the game soley because of Naoto, and wants a spinoff game starring only her.
So yea...what did you guys think of her? _________________

I thought Naoto didn't really fit in with the game as well as the other characters and that her character brought the game story down a notch.

I didn't really like her at first because I thought it was a male character with a girly voice. The twist that she was indeed a she actually made me like her a lot more. I just wish that there was more scenes with her acting like a girl. I was kind of disappointed that I couldn't max out her social link so I'm not sure where that would have led. I think she appeals to people that have a gender confusion fetish.

My friend actually maxed out Naoto's social link and not to give much away....but Naoto does act more like a girl later _________________

As Jahanzeb said she acts more girl nearing the end of the social link, should you choose the Lover's path, she'll ask if her voice is too deep and if she should act more feminine, saying no results in her acting the same for the Christmas Eve date while saying yes she comes dress in the female school uniform. She gifts you matching watches that tell how far apart you are from your other half, in the end, fade to back, distance <1metre _________________

Seeing as Persona 2 Portable is getting released very soon, has there been any news from Atlus or the developers themselves about perhaps making a Persona 4 Portable? I would love to see some more of the Persona 4 universe and it would make sense they'd do it seeing as they made a portable version of P3.

Didn't the director of Persona 4 say that there was no need for a portable version as he felt that Persona 4 was complete. _________________ Currently Playing : Atelier Iris 2 (PS2), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Legend of Heroes : Trails of the Sky (PSP), 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

I believe I read something similar but it was regarding a FES type version of Persona 4. The developer they were interviewing said something along the lines of that Persona 4 was already jammed pack full of content and they saw no need to add or extend it anymore.

I read somewhere that if enough fans want it, it will come. That being said, I'm kinda eh on the area, I'd buy persona 4 portable on the dot, but I really don't like the idea of it all persona games going handheld. 1 and 2 sure, 3 why not, 4 um okay I guess.
The main thing, I'm wondering about P2P is if they will keep Hitler in the game. ATLUS are pretty damn gutsy, so i reckon they will.
I can't wait for Catherine though, looks like good, crazy yet mature fun.

I reckon they will. They seem to pride themselves on the fact that almost every Shin Megami Tensei game is rated Mature.
So there is hope for P4P? That's good to know. I wonder what the female version of the MC would look like

Hopefully not like the MC when he Cross-dressed Now that I think about it, some of the scenes would be funny, especially King's Game (I actually wanna play that).
