I suppose it was surprising enough that one tales game was brought onto the 360. I shouldn't be too hopeful that another would. Good for you PS3 guys though.

I'm absolutely stoked Tales of Graces F is getting a US release and the PS3 is region free so there will be no issues with importing. I think this will be my most anticipated PS3 game this year

I finally got around to starting Golden Sun Dark Dawn today.
Made me realise that I had forgotten how much I loved Golden Suns 1 & 2. _________________

I'm about to start Demon's Souls. Is there any tips you veterans could give me? Swords or magic? Any useful items I should be getting early in the game?

Pagan, I would recommend starting as a Royal and making the most out of Soul Arrow. Arm yourself with a shield and a spear early on so you can keep enemies at bay while you familiarize yourself with the game.
Feel free to ask questions if you get stuck or want advice as you play the game

so I started ME2 and decided to make Sheperd an Adept... I can still use Shotguns and Assault Rifles right and all those other cool heavy crap?
Anyway I was wondering: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r3skFSSiPM 00:45-00:46, that move where he charges/spears forward in a biotic field, I thought it was an adept skill but the descriptions on what's available doesn't seem to show it? Is it a soldier skill or something? What's the name of it, I want to ram baddies everywhere. _________________

Edit: haha, now people are complaining that it is probably the polished and extended PS3 version, not the buggy wii version. No hope for humanity. |
Wow, if people are complaining about that, first of all, they need to face the facts. If these people are still delusional about the fact that it might be the Wii version, there's a rather telling sign in the logo. It's not that big, but it's big enough to see without a microscope, and anyone with half a brain should be able to figure out what that means. It's kind of pink ... it looks like, I dunno, a big F or something?
Oh, and YAY.
I'm really excited about this, it has probably just jumped to my most wanted game. I guess I'm a tales-tard or whatever that chick said. _________________

Awesome only 3 must buy RPG's currently.
Tales of Graces F
Pokemon (unsure which one)
Yakuza 4
And probably Neptune, looks silly
Anyway I've been playing Alpha Protocol, it's a fun little game, with plenty of quirks, it's fairly easy if you go stealth and Pistol eg Almost freeze bosses for a few seconds and get 5ish head shots .
Also does anyone have any recommendations on great Video Game Music.
Currently listening to Courtney Gears

I endorse this post 100%.
Soul Arrow is a great spell to start with, since even at lower levels in 1-1 magic does a buttload of damage.
Personally, I think you should spend a few levels and the first world level (or two) experimenting. Find out if you can Parry and Riposte. Find out if you have the reflexes to dodge.
Find out what you can and can't do, and then look at some character builds for inspiration to vaguely guide you.
Personally? My reflexes are absolute arse, so I got me a Steel Shield, a Winged Spear, and turtled my way to victory, with a Sticky (Compound?) Long Bow for long-range cowardice. _________________

Thanks for the tips guys! I made my character a Royal and I'm going through the tutorial at the moment (these ragdoll physics are nuts). I must have spent 2 hours in the character creation because there's so many options but I think I made my female character pretty awesome

That ability is called "Charge" and it's an exclusive power of the Vanguard class. It's a really cool ability but at the same time it leaves you really vulnerable until you find cover. Better off using it to kill the last remaining enemy in a group with style. _________________

Later on in the game enemies do heaps of damage regardless of what armour you equiped. My advice is to try focus your skills and build on becoming nimble, being able to riposte (not required) and roll (HIGHLY recommended, just don't roll off a ledge).

Soul Arrow is fantastic. I'm one hit killing almost every enemy except for that knight that charged at me. I was running for my life but they never seem to give up chasing you. I haven't touched my stats yet but I'm wondering if it's permanent once I start putting them up? In other words, can I screw my build up if I'm not careful?

I just copied and pasted this from another forum. The post was a summary of the sort of reaction s/he was seeing from others about the announcement.
Kind of sickening if it's all true. Well, I think so, anyway.

Your greatest fans can also be your harshest and most unrealistic critics. After seeing what the Something Awful forums do to GRRM (uh, George RR Martin) I sure as hell wouldn't go anywhere near them if I was an author. Ouch.
Hell, I'm a Tales fan with no PS3, but I'd rather the current (F) version of the game and I'm sure I'll own a PS3 one day. I wouldn't mind a PAL release though as it makes buying the game easier (more options) but I'll forgive them if they don't want to translate the game into half a dozen languages. Dual audio I also don't need if they do a decent job on casting and translating.
