Well right now, the cheapest I can find a full retail version of Windows 7 Ultimate is $306.60 from dvd.co.uk.

Should I go for that? I want a full version rather than OEM.

The OEM is a full version but it will be tied to whatever system I activate it on.

I want to be able to transfer my Windows 7 licence if I upgrade my hardware which I will do as I am still on a Core2Quad. So I would need a full retail version of Windows 7 rather than the cheaper OEM.

What I don't know is the difference between these versions:

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition English Rest of World DVD

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition DVD

[Edit: Ok, apparently no difference, but the EU version was originally s'posed to exclude the IE browser.]

as long as you don't change your motherboard it should right and you can get the oem one for just over $100

K-mart have Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days for only 19 dollars. Very worthwhile I would say. One of only a handful of DS games that I've sat down, played the entirety of and thoroughly enjoyed.

Ah, Windows 7 licensing is so much easier when you have a MSDN subscription through work that allows you 10 licenses for pretty much any Microsoft product for the purpose of "testing"... I could even have Songsmith if I was a masochist.
