i finally got loremaster of cataclysm. to me it was easily the best expansion for questing. the quests were interesting and the enviroments were terrific. especially the indiana jones style quest area with the pyramids and river delta, plus the main quest giver being called harrison jones!
so it back to outland for me now to clean up the 200 quests i have to go to get loremaster there. then wrap it all up with northrend loremaster, then i shall truly be king of warcraft! _________________

But do you actually know the lore now
(Also since you're alliance side you might know, what the fuck is Malfurion stormrage doing standing in the middle of the tornado in darkshore?)
Started leveling my archeology, got to about 5 points in and gave up.
Fuck that shit. _________________

lock became undead, warrior and hunter became tauren. the hunter is my main and i took him back to the start and lore mastered eastern kingdoms and kalimdor. cataclysm got done last week, now im 200 quests from outland with 325 quests left in outland. _________________

i have a Worgen who just finished with Darkshore.
i say finished, but i mean i got to 50% of the quests needed for the achievement before all the quests turned grey, and i get no XP for killing anything.
thus i haven't done the quests for Malfurion in that zone.
sorry.
(i'm actually pretty keen to know, and to see whether his story like hops around a few zones before hitting Mount Hyjal in the xpac - but i'd rather be levelling at this point...) _________________

I'm in the process of gearing myself for the new raid content, which my guild will be starting within the week. Heroics have been getting a lot of flak for their respective difficulty, but I'm enjoying the challenge. Most boss encounters in 5-mans actually feel like mini-raids now and the reward is appropriate to the challenge. _________________

Not going to lie, once you get 346 or whatever the gear level is for heroics, it again becomes an AoE fest in many instances. Which is unfortunate, I really liked it when we were still running around in blues and greens working out the best way to do heroics for the first time.
Few exceptions are some bosses such as the last boss in Grim Batol and Ozruk in Stonecore. GB last boss is impossible with a PuG (had a warrior talk absolute shit to me saying "he is outdpsing everyone", the tank linked the damage meters and I was tripling his damage when I D/Ced for that attempt. He was subsequently kicked.)
Ozruk is nuts on Australian ping, the ground slam more often than not will one shot a tank.

^ yeah i really like the difficulty right now too. Blizz must've really gotten worried about the complaints though, since they decided they needed to offer an explanation for their choices.
it's stupid really - i mean when they first introduced the Heroic Mode option in Burning Crusade, they were hard. when LK launched, they were hard.
but after a few months? well it didn't even matter if there was a completely new level 80 in the party, they would've rolled the place.
the only complaint i really have - is really the length - especially the 2 old-school dungeons. Heroic Deadmines, in particular, is too long.
it's a great dungeon, with some great boss mechanics, but it's simply excessively long.
but as annoying as it is - i still realise that in 3-4 months time, it'll probably be stupidly easy again anyway. _________________

Can't say I agree on either point.
For starters, Ozruk really isn't as tough as you make him seem. The first time I ran him in Stonecore I was foolishly spell-stealing his reflect buff as soon as he was casting it, routinely stunning the entire party for seconds at a time. The tank didn't have any issues at all, even when w/o healing for 3-5 seconds. Admittedly, Erudax is a pain.
While it's natural that the dungeons will become easier as you become more geared and experienced, they're still nowhere near a joke as the heroics were in Wrath; they're far-off from an AoE-fest anymore.
I've seen plenty of arrogant tanks heading a well-geared group go down in a blaze of fire because they thought they were too good to CC, strategise interrupts and kill orders. _________________

I think it's just my tank friend then. Wiped so many times on that boss. Ridiculous. While Wrath dungeons were really true AoE fests, I still feel Cata ones are pretty easy. At least CC is used now. I don't believe I polymorphed once in Wrath dungeons.

First night of Cata raiding last night. Downed Magmaw and Omnitron Defense System. I particularly liked the Omnitron fight.

From the 4.1 patchnotes:
| Quote: | | The Happiness/Pet Loyalty System has been removed. Hunters will no longer have to manage Happiness for their pets, and the previous damage bonus for pets being happy will now be baseline for all tamed pets. |

Pet happiness hasnt been an issue since they added the minor glyph (i think) that increases happiness when you heal your pet. No need for food.
But still, guess this is even better. _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82

Anyone play Alliance on Misha? I have two 85's, 'Desmidna' a Night Elf druid and 'Odontinae' a Draenei paladin
Also, any addons you guys would recommend? I've tried a few, only kept NPCScan and Recount as the most useful. _________________ When I get old, I'll live alone and be a crazy old cat lady. Is 'Mists of Pandaria' the new WoW expansion?
Probably not, but seriously hope Pandaren become a playable race at some point. _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

This depends on your characters' respective roles. Do you tank, heal or do damage? Do you raid?
Need to be more specific. _________________

Sorry, I only saw this now. All of the above. I have two 85's, a Paladin dual specced for tanking and dps with the best tank gear honor points can get, and a Druid dual specced for healing and dps. I've been working on pve gear for both now. Also a mage nearly 85 which I'll probably start with pvp, so much easier and quicker to gear that way, even though alliance on Misha never fail so hard at it.
I didn't like most of the changes from Cataclysm, especially how they changed the old starter areas. Nostalgia appeal = lost _________________ When I get old, I'll live alone and be a crazy old cat lady. wow equates to about $168 a year, which is about the price of 2 new release games. so the choice is spending half a year for 1 new release game or allocating the $3.60 a week to a wow subscription.
and i get a lot more enjoyment out of the gameplay and content in wow than i do with other games. hope that makes some sense _________________
