So? In the context of a reply to Sin's post it's a perfectly fine statement.
You actually went to all the effort of taking a screenshot, editing it in paint and then uploading it to imageshack? I'm flattered. _________________

I hear you on that one. Except I have two hours left...
Anyway, I'm not going to say anything more about this. One of the aforamentioned knights in shining armour will probably be clambouring in on a white stallion soon brandishing a banhammer which seems to only affect certain users. _________________

Uncharted 3 is spiffy and rad. And B+L is right on the money with his observations.

If you look back through any post, that anybody has argued with me in the slightest bit, no matter the topic, there will be a plus from Mr Ballina. Hey, he annoyed me, I'm human. That is my reason for the neg.
Anyhoo, you guys are just repeating what I said. That's the deal? You could have copy-and-pasted have I said fatpizza! YES the game will rock, yes it will have amazing visuals, most likely the BEST visuals ever, yes it will probably be the game of the year! And we ALL love Uncharted! Will this game shit on Gears 3 Oh my yes it will. Was the clip a golden showpiece for the game? Sure, as much as an in-game development piece can be. The combat (melee) looked hit and miss (a developer was playing the game!) and it really wasn't anything *OMG BEST GAME EVA!* impressive at all. As I said, the in-game clips in the Spike trailer made my jaw drop. Go watch that if you haven't yet.
I actually don't like the melee combat in the previous games and it's one of the things I hope they fix for the 3rd installment. The only thing for concern with this title is the 2 year turn around. I'm sure Naughty Dog will deliver though.
Honestly, you guys are SUCH a chore sometimes.
EDIT - Sin Edit: I've already spoken to him about that, no need to try drumming up another retort.
EDIT 2- God bless the Sony forum too. It does bring joy to the ever-so-quiet PALGN these days. _________________ Shin J Leon.

What about Mac?
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I crack myself up.
As an aside, this is still the game series that is telling me I have to own a PS3, and to be honest, if I didn't have my family paying most of the surgery to get my wisdom teeth out, I'd be screaming to get one for Christmas...
sigh, one day.
Edit for below: Also The Witcher. NEVER forget The Witcher.

By releasing a string of good games on your platform and leaving the "constantly ahead of the curve" platform out to die, letting it feed only on Starcraft, shoddy console ports, and whatever small treats Valve gives it out of pity of how neglected this poor, poor beast has been for the last few years... _________________

So, I've never played either Uncharted game and I'm wanting to subtly change the topic from debating. Would it be sensible to start the series soon, or would the constant hype render the whole experience similar to having sex with an aged prostitute? (Overpaying for an experience for which I am several years too late to enjoy with the same enthusiasm lesser men were able to experience in its prime)

I only played them a couple of months back, the first one is good but not really that amazing. The second one is fucking brilliant though and deffintly worth it. It's the first game I've played this gen that really feels like a full generation ahead of the PS2/Gamecube games. And not just a slightly prettier old game.

Shame the crash cams and cutscenes revert to the inferior "tv" aspect.

I got Uncharted 1 with my PS3 and there wasn't that much hype about it at that time. Did I like it? Yes, it was fun to play. But I didn't think it was an "OMG WOW!!!" game. Things get a bit repetitive at some points and it's noticeable how they separated the platforming & fighting sequences (in Uncharted 2 they combined them and got rid of that restriction).
While Uncharted 1 made for a good basis of the series, Uncharted 2 is the one that really expanded and improved on just about everything that was missing in the original game. The first game is still good, though (and storywise it's more fun if you play the games in order).
So basically;
Uncharted 1: good game, but with more restricted gameplay
Uncharted 2: the whole experience is more similar to some of the best sex you've ever had (perhaps slightly exaggerated)
Definitely worth playing, if you ask me. ;]

You gotta play Uncharted 1 first. It builds the story and characters up. You won't enjoy Uncharted 2 as much unless you play the first. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I didn't even finish the first Uncharted, as I returned it within the 7 days I bought it as I didn't think I'd ever play it again, and I just didn't play it enough. But the second, wow. Has to be one of my favourite games this generation, the third would be the game to make me finally buy a new PS3 to replace my YLOD one. Hopefully they expand on the multiplayer, without changing it too much, as the second one was a lot of fun online.

I swear in that Fallon clip that the fist fighting animations kept skipping frames.
Either way, looks very fun. I hope though that they don't exactly copy/paste the winning formula from U2 with the train chapter and replace the moment with the plane that is in the trailer. _________________

I love Uncharted series as much of the next person, in fact I was hyping about it way back when it was first shown at E3 2006. crap that was so long ago...
I was a bit disappointed in both the Spike trailer and the Fallon gameplay. Fallon did a great job trying to sell the game so props to him. But the scene in the house on fire - yup it looks fantastic to graphics nerds like Denny, but to just another mainstream guy which is essentially why they were going on Fallon in the first place they needed to show an action sequence, maybe the one on the jeep in U2 or the chase scene with the helicopter... being in a burning house - people have seen that plenty of times plus visually while the fire looks GREAT, mainstream people wouldnt really understand how hard it is to do fire.
Anyways still a great clip, although it showed nothing new. The pinnacle has got to be the U2 E3 2008 clip which was just amazing plus that gameplay sequence where the house falls over. I know they still have a year of development so they are way off where they want to be but perhaps they should have waited before they showed gameplay - i mean there was no real need to.
The spike TV clip was your stock standard teaser trailer... it was basically the same as the U2 teaser trailer they released in jan 09.
All in all im totally hyped, and i reckon its only going to get better.
And great setting as well... which begs the question where can they go next?? _________________
