I would bet money that there is a Forza 6 before there is a Turismo 6. Not a lot of money but some.

It's funny, Forza 1 came out in 2005, the same year as GT4, it contained 231 cars, which is more than the number of 'Premium' cars in GT5.
Forza 3 came out in 2009 and includes 500 'premium' cars - so in the time it's taken to make GT5, Turn5 studios have made 3 Forza games and are less than a year away from the next iteration. What the hell were Polyphony Digital doing with their development time? _________________

The hero car will be a Ford GT...? Isn't that a bit old now...?
Would've been nice if they'd actually fixed the graphical problems in Forza 3 (eg rear vision mirrors being backwards in some cars, racing cars having nonfunctioning dashes). Oh well.

Note the top gear logo. Looks like we'll be getting the top gear track on the Xbox after all

Two guys from the US version of Top Gear announced the game, so don't hold your breath for the UK version of the track.

Based on what? A few shots on in the trailer announcing the game's existence? I wouldn't take that as an indication of the GT being a 'hero car'. _________________

Well, the Audi R10 was the focus of the Forza 3 debut trailer...

Probably the only series on 360 that could tempt me to buy one. If only the 360 was made by somebody other than Microsoft.

I find it funny that the only thing you can do in a thread about Forza is bash Gran Turismo.

No I agree, based purely by facts. One of the premier racing franchises have really dropped the ball in recent years and have allowed for another franchise, exclusive to another console to upstage them. Even considering that Polyphony Digital were one of very few companies to sign onto the Playstation as early as it did, Sony aren't going to be too impressed with them.
Forza Motorsport 4 though, I really wasn't expecting another announcement for at least a year. They're still doing DLC for Forza 3 at this stage.

There's room for both Gran Turismo and Forza. Surely people have better things to do than whinge about which one is better... don't they?

Cant wait for this. I wish someone would give these guys 5 years and unlimited money to make a racing game (rather than being rushed to make the deadline MS give them to maximise sales.) _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82

I wasn't 'whinging' at all, simply stating facts. It seems bizarre to me that a game with less content, features and polish took longer to make than a trilogy of forza games. I loved gt4, but really wasn't feeling 5 and have since traded it in. I couldn't be more psyched for this game though- turn5 can really do no wrong it seems- and the kinect functionality has me intrigued. Glad theyve got the top gear license too. Please don't hate me for being genuinely disappointed in gt5, after all that time all I wanted was a finished product that I could love like gt4.
I'm sorry if voicing my opinion on the state of simulation racing in a relevant thread upset anyone, next time someone has an opinion you don't agree with just try ignoring it, no need for personal insults telling me to 'get a life'. What's wrong with spirited debate about this new games primary competition- it's relevant! _________________

The top gear track was in Forza 3 ultimate edition. So I'm pretty sure we're getting it in Forza 4 - just saying

the whole thing about forza 4 is that 3 bombed big time. So I don't know what market there is on x360 for the sequel. We'll see though. Car racers seems to be on the way out, what with Blur killing bizarre creations (via Activision). _________________

To be honest, Forza is the better game these days. Polyphony's too distracted by getting the cars looking 'exactly right', where as Forza's driving model feels both more real, with a greater variety of races.
Saying that, there's no track that has replicated the pleasure of Deep Forest yet for me on Forza

Whether he was factually accurate or not wasn't my point. My point was in a thread about Forza people have ample opportunity to discuss a game they obviously enjoy, however some of those people can't help themselves and just need to have a dig at it's biggest competitor. I just think it's a bit sad. _________________

^ It's only natural that comparisons are made when GT5 came out so recently. It would be more weird if people ignored it. _________________
