This might be old news, I'm not sure ... I just thought I'd share what I found through a link on 1up.
World of Deceit: Evidence Adds Credence to Uncharted 3 Title, Concept Art

People love to expose their most personal of information to others on the internet. And this tidbit, artist Albert Ng just couldn’t keep from posting on his Blogspot. Knowing the name, location, and job description of the concept artist we looked in the most logical of places, LinkedIn. Without much trouble, we were able to find Albert Ng’s profile, which reveals that the concept designer currently works for Tyler West Studio.
On the Tyler West Studio website, the company describes itself as a “conceptual art studio, committed to creating inspirational and informative artwork for video games and film” having contributed to “more than 15 AAA videogames”. I know that when people think of AAA videogames, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is one of the first to come to mind.
After perusing the site for a short while we stumbled upon the studio’s client list; a list that features a multitude of videogame publishers such as: EA, Activision, Ubisoft and the smoking gun… Sony Computer Entertainment.
Is this proof of Uncharted 3‘s — a game we all know is coming — logo and title? No, but the evidence does insist that everything on Albert Ng’s Blogspot was more than likely legitimately made for the third installment in the Uncharted franchise and the subsequent listing on Amazon France for Uncharted 3: World of Deceit makes it all the more real. |

Just as Uncharted 3 was called here, the gaming world has been a victim of deceit, but the small glimmer of hope that it was true shows how excited gamers will be once the title is formally announced in the future. |
It's sometimes hard not to get caught up in hype or rumors like this, so hopefully I don't cause any disappointment by spreading it. Still, it made me excited for a moment.

It did still sound awesome. The concept artwork looked good as well.
There might be an announcement at the end of year VGAs. Just like Uncharted 2 was announced at the end of 2008.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

The fake title was kind of close to the real title, don't you think?
Haha, I know there are plenty people here who should be happy about this. I know I am, and I also know that I haven't been waiting as long as some of you have been, so I'm lucky in that regard. So, now we all wait together, I suppose!

I noticed that too. Actually, when I first saw "Drake's Deception" announced, I thought they were still going on about the same rumor. xD But I was very glad to see this is the real deal.
Uncharted 1 is a great game.
Uncharted 2 is a great game.
So that means Uncharted 3 will be... a great game?
Really looking forward to this one. ^^

I admit I'm slightly concerned. Being the graphic junkie that I am, and with my limited technical knowledge I may be incorrect but is it not true that to output 3D the source resolution has to be double the regular width? So instead of 1360x720 UC3 will be 2720x720, meaning that a heck of a lot more power will be required to render it, resulting in less power left to uber UC2 style graphics?

No. The image is essentially rendered twice at the same resolution. As an example, Killzone 3 is running 30fps at 1280x720p natively. With 3D, it renders two different outputs, both at 60hz and running in unison with each other, flickering and creating the 3D effect (iirc both streams run at 15 fps and when combined create the 30fps stream). It's why there's a slight flicker and cross over with the 3D effect. This is as far as I remember with how it was explained to me anyway.
Now in terms of visual compromise, it won't look any worse than Uncharted 2 I can tell you straight out. Considering how good Killzone 3 looks in 3D without any compromise (I've played it as have a few of the other guys), UC3 will either look just as good as UC2 or better.
There's very little to worry about especially because the first party studios share their assets and help optimise one anothers engines.

I sorta regretted watching as much Uncharted 2 footage as I did before playing the game. It was still incredible playing it, but not nearly as much as it could have been...
That's not a mistake I'm making again. Complete media blackout till release. WHO'S WITH ME!!
... yeah I thought so.

I will be getting a 3D TV for this.... even though my TV right now is only 2 years old!
I wonder how they'll top the train level - i really dont mind them to do another train level to be honest!!

Am I the only person who didn't like the train level? Dodging beams and stuff that are abnormally close to the train and switch sides as a transparent method of giving you something to do where if you're a second off you die repeatedly?
That sequence sucked!
