This is the PS3 EU Version. As you can see it contains no replica of the Plasma Cutter. Probably what we will end up getting.



All North American versions of the CE contain the Plasma Cutter. The PS3 version also contains extraction.

According to EB and GAME, the release date in Aus is 27 Jan 11.

RE: The Collectors Edition that we will receive in Aus, according to the EB rep on Twitter, the PS3 version here will contain the replica cutter and also extraction. So it looks like we are getting the contents of the NA version.

but its almost been confirmed that EU misses out on the plasma cutter hasn't it ? and normly we get thrown in the one basket ?

still how would one go about getting in the beta ?

i got halfway through DS1 on PC, then it died and i lost my save and never got back into PC gaming. Should try find the first secondhand for 360. the second has me pretty excited, what i did play of the first, i loved.

Might be old news but JB also have the collector's edition.

It is mighty tempting to get it on the PS3 as Extraction is a freebie but the shitty L2 and R2 really gets to me when playing the PS3.

It sucks that we don't the plasma cutter, but I'll probably still get the CE version. I mean, I paid 8 dollars for Ignition, even after knowing that it comes as a free code with certain pre-orders of the game.

But not after reading that the game got panned for it's repetitive game play in the hacking mini-games and the less than appealing comic-like cut-scenes.

Still enjoyed it though.

I'm extremely tempted to get the PS3 version, for the limited edition package and the bonus copy of Dead Space Extraction, but what puts me off most is the damn dualshock controller, which will be bizarre playing with after playing the Xbox 360 version of the first game. I suppose that this is one of those rare scenarios where i'm going to have to buy both versions of the game. Of course, I could always just buy the 360 version and stick by my current Wii version of Extraction. My current non-HD version of Extraction...

...Damn my Dead Space lovingness. =P

I downloaded it last night. Can somebody confirmed for me if it's a demo that is the beginning of the game or a mid point?

I don't want to play it if it's the whole intro of the game (cause I'm SOOOO planning on buying and LOVING this game).
