For those who need a refresher of Desmond's story from AC1 and AC2 check out the link below (no brotherhood spoilers but obviously spoilers for AC1 and 2.
http://assassinscreed.uk.ubi.com/brotherhood/story/so_far.html#
I knew that the events of AC1 and AC2 was closely linked but seriosuly - everything that happens in the future happens within a week? That is one hectic amount of time desmond has spent in the animus.

Peveus came up with this term when referring to Lucy, but do any of you think that she has a case of "Muppet"? There seems to be something odd about her face, don't you think? And the strange thing is, that everyone else looks relatively normal ... So, is Lucy any better looking in this game, does anyone know? _________________

Being based on the voice actress probably doesn't help.
I though the character model looked better in AC1 then AC2. Looks like her model in AC:B is the AC2 one with a slight adjustment. _________________

Just a word of warning to all Brotherhood players: do not, I repeat do NOT use any warp tunnels until you are told about them by Machiavelli. If you warp back to tunnels that were available at the start of Memory Sequence 2, at the latter half of 2, you will die every few steps you take. If you're lucky, as I was, you'll keep respawning next to the warp tunnel and be able to take it back to where you came from and be okay - if you're not lucky you will have to start the game from scratch.
You're warned! _________________

So is there a time frame AC3 is slated to launch? Reason I ask is that I might just wait a while to get this game if AC3 isn't set for another couple of years, I'd rather just buy AC:B for $25 at a latter stage. _________________

Judging from the release of AC2 and this one, I'd say that AC3 could be due this time next year? _________________

It affects PS3 and 360, theres a whooooooole lot of people who've come up against it. It only affects you if you tunnel to an area that is now locked (after Segment 2 theres no problem). _________________

No, but my guess is that it will get released in 2012 mainly because the first two games took two years to make and it fits in with the 2012 storyline. Brotherhood took only 10 months to make but I'd say that was because it was very similar to ACII.

^^ yeah.
According to Brotherhood, AC1, 2 and Brotherhood all take place in a two week period in September 2012. If they released it November 2012, itd be timed nicely for the Dec 21 shinnanigans.
Also: does anyone else find it odd that Desmond lies on the animus chair while wearing a backpack? Uncomfortable much? _________________

OMG, I'm loving this! I don't know why this series hooks me so much, and by series I mean the sequel and possibly this game ... I mean, I've played it for about twenty minutes so far, so I can't really comment on very much, but I am just ... kind of speechless by everything that has occurred in that time! I can't wait to dive into this more.
Oropher, the "3D" of the Auditore Edition is basically a 3D mold. It kinds of looks weird when it's in the case, but you take it out and it just looks pretty ... normal. It's just a bit of a trick of the eye I suppose.
Anyway, back to the game.
I am loving the improved details of characters, especially their faces. It's not that they look real, it's that they look alive, and that's what counts. They just look really good. Even Hastings, who annoys me so much, looks really good, I have to admit that. I just love watching their expressions and how they move and stuff.
I loved how Ezio was wearing and wielding the exact same stuff I had him wearing at the ending of the 2nd game right at the beginning of AC: B. It's the little stuff like that that makes things interesting sometimes. It just seemed like a nice touch. I was expecting just the standard white robes/attire, but nope, my black ones with the very same weapons were used.
Lucy doesn't look as bad this time around. That's a bit of a plus.
The episode with the Villa was ... amazing. Sure we see that sort of thing occur in a number of action movies, but really, when you grow attached to characters or get to know them, it can always give you a bit of a rush.
And now ... wow ... Desmond ... I know I'm going to love this game! _________________

Has anyone climbed the Colosseo yet? (at the very top is a viewpoint). It is incredible.
I've 100% renovated the first area, which has taken up the bulk of my gameplay time (11 hrs). I'm getting about 12 grand deposited in the bank every 20 minutes which is nice. Every time I do a few story missions another distraction pops up (last one unlocked assassination missions).

Yeah I went up the Colosseo the second I came to it, and got the glyph there. Very nice _________________

I'm a little frustrated.
When I was playing AC2, I tried to access the UPlay stuff, but it was a no go. I was able to download everything else, have games (AC2 and other games) patched and so on, but whenever I tried to access UPlay through the main menu it would say the Server was unavailable or some nonsense.
Anyway, I tried multiple times, I tried at different times of the day. This is what people had recommended to others who had shared the same problem ... but nothing I did seemed to work. In the end I was frustrated, but I thought ... well, I'm not really missing out on much.
However, the exact same thing is happening now. I was able to download the Copernicus Conspiracy, but I can't access UPlay or the single player downloadable mission, or the armor. I guess I'm really not sure what to do and I'm frustrated because even though it's probably only something minor, it's still something I'm not able to get. It makes me mad.
Sorry for the venting, I'm not sure what else to do.
Oh, and it has come to my attention that Ezio might just be automatically wearing the exact same thing for everyone ... but I'm not sure. Am I just imagining things or can someone confirm that he is wearing what you had him equipped with when you beat AC2. I noticed my blades were the exact same blades I used, but hey ... it might just be how it is. I know it's trivial, but I think I'm developing a complex about it! _________________

I thought the same thing regarding the outfit/items used. Maybe it uses our previous save files.
As for the Uplay thing, it may not be working due to your network setup. I only tried it once during AC2 and it worked fine but I'll give it a shot in this and see how it goes. I think if your having troubles you may need to set up port-forwarding.... which probably isn't worth it for the extra content lol.
Edit: This game is so good. Everything I wanted.

Aww, that stinks.
I don't even know what that means, so I'm sure it'll go over my head.
Why must everything be so difficult with this stupid net? First the DS and Wifi, now the PS3 ... I'm surprised the 360 works. *knocks on wood* _________________

Are you connecting the PS3 with a cable or using wireless? Do you have any other connection problems (i.e. PSN store, or very slow downloads, etc.)? If you go to "Connection Status" what does it say your NAT type is, and does it have any warnings underneath it?
The problem is more likely your PS3s connection to the Internet than UPLAY itself. _________________

I'm using a cable.
I don't seem to notice any problems with anything else, the downloads seem normal to me, but I'm no expert.
I've been looking at this thread and it seems a lot of people are having the same issue. The sad thing is, they don't really seem to sort it out or explain what to do.
I'm just no good at this sort of technical thing, so I'm like a fish out of water. I wouldn't have a clue where to start. _________________
