I was reading posts from the two Sony reps on that forum, but getting conflicting dates

Hello Gadbury – The UK date will be Wednesday 24th November, not long now… |

That’s a very good question.
I’m pleased to confirm that it’s out on the following dates:
- UK, Ireland: 3rd December 2010
- Australia & New Zealand: 2nd December 2010
- Rest of PAL: 1st December 2010 |

Those second set of dates were for the Sly Collection, weren't they? _________________

Starting to feel the hype now. I can see myself playing GT5 solidly for AT LEAST 1/10th of the time it took for Polyphony Digital to develop it.

I would think Dec 2nd sounds accurate. I know I wasn't only one shocked at hearing Nov 25th thinking it was too soon, with the recent rumblings of the game's printing. _________________

Nah it's definitely the 24th.
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/11/12/gt5-release-announcement/
Article states 24th.
Then in the comments section someone asks the release date of the Sly Cooper Collection (presumable in response to the following picture)
http://kotaku.com/5688293/gran-turismo-5-bending-laws-of-time-space
To this which is responded

Who cares.. we should all be playing within 2-3 weeks at most, providing there's no more 'unforeseen delays'

Controller all the way! (Last time I drove a GT game with a wheel it felt weird, coming from playing games like rFactor and Live for Speed with a wheel). _________________

Yeah, I'm controller too. For whatever reason, I'm about 2-3 seconds a lap quicker with the controller. It'll be much better now that we have trigger controllers, too.

There is a collectors (130 roughly) and a Singature edition($250 roughly), so depends what one you would think about getting _________________ Solid Snake is the shit

Anyone seen any specials on the Collectors Edition? $77 from HN for the Standard version seems to be the best bricks and mortar store price at the moment, which makes the gap ($52) a lot for what you get IMHO.

yeah i would love that 200 page apex driving magazine - but its not worth $52
in fact i dont know why people fork out for the little figurines and collectables... for the price of two collectors editions i can buy 3 or 4 games. _________________

Pre Ordered from here. I don't mind the extra wait, hopefully it comes after uni exams!
Oh and the fact that it's only $65 bucks with no delivery charge didn't hurt either.
Thanks for the heads up sobriquet! _________________
