Congrats to a lot of launch PS3 owners, because this time (11th of November) 4 years ago was when PS3 launched in Japan, the land of the Rising Sun.

Didn't back long time ago then some top Sony Japanese guy who I don't know his name said it was going to be a console for rich people? I remember reading it in a mag and cursed at that man.
So freaken glad that ended up not the case when I got it FREE with the Bravia TV last Christmas and now cannot live without how my PS3 connects so well to the tv!. Take that some random Jap guy!
Sorry but my trusty laptop gaming gave me the best 4 years of my life (followed by PS2)

Oh okay, thank you for that  *tries to remember*. Sorry but I'm never that good with it comes to attention to details. I don't even know who is the top guy for Xbox :S
PS3 still is a nice console though even though I mentioned PC. I know I could watch iView on PC but I seem to always wanting to watch it on the PS3.
Happy Birthday PS3!!! Guess since this is a birthday thread, I should be more positive? I love the start up music and the default theme of the PS3, it's nice . You are my currently most played console and may you bring me many many more years of entertainment. Many love and kisses!

It's crazy to think that if it were PS1 it would be dead and burried in a years time with PS2 but with PS3 it feels like it has a long time to go yet....

Console I enjoyed the most in terms of number of amazing games = PS1
Console I got the biggest OMG! from when first playing it = Xbox 360 (launch day)
Console I play the most on currently and believe will be the longest lasting console of all time = PS3

I was happy till my launch console died, never had a console die ever till this generation so I guess you could say I am unhappy in that respect but I have had some fun times with my ps3.

I loved the PS2.. the games they were putting out towards the end of its reign were awesome. I now own a PS3 120gb Slim.. so that's how long it took me till I got a PS3.. roughly 3 years after the birthday. I'm still waiting for the awesome games on PS3. Don't get me wrong.. there have been some great games already but not of the same level, relatively speaking, as there were towards the end of the PS2 reign. Just waiting for the developers to build their knowledge of the PS3 development etc.. I think GT5 is going to be the first "true" PS3 game.. pushing it further than it should be capable of.

I loved the PS2 and PS3 is awesome but after a two generation hiatus... PS2 got me back into gaming and that will always be the best, they were amazing times.
PS3 is amazing too.

i think the Shadow of the Colossus / ICO release might be a good reason to buy a ps3 since i've been keen on trying those but can never find them cheap.
it's the only major console i don't have.
