I think i read somewhere the patch would be out later tonight. In which case, thats perfect. Only a few more hours to go.

I read this on IGN
"My biggest issue with the multiplayer is that the new Wager Matches, while fun in their own right, don't compare favorably to the high-quality and addictive leveling system and game modes from Modern Warfare 1 and 2."
Does that mean you can't level up in the same ways as the last game anymore and you have to do the wager thing?

For some reason I can't play because even though I've installed the SP and MP are stuck at 7995.8/8021.4MB and 7955.3/8020.9MB respectively. Steam says they're suspended and refuses to download the last 50 or so MB (Alex said that it needs to download the .exe as that's unique to my Steam).
Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?
Also I tried it on my brothers computer, same issue, so it's either our network or the steam content servers (oh and I've also tried changing my download region).

Tried turning off steamwatch?
and I cant even find any wager matches.

You still level up the same way as past titles. Each time you level up you gain 1000 'credits' which is used to purchase your scopes, secondary fire attachments (rather than racking up kills with the gun you want to upgrade like MW1 and 2.)
So the wager mode is just a form of gambling your credits to win more credits to spend on upgrades, in its own game mode separate from the standard free-for-all/team deathmatch. Dunno why the reviewer had an 'issue' with it in the first place. It's a completely optional game mode and doesn't need to be used in order to purchase certain equipment.

I can't seem to load the multiplayer at all. Whenever I select it in Steam, it just says that Steam is currently busy and to try again later. :S

have you turned off any server filters? i.e freys/steamwatch?

I figured out what the problem was. The patch had been released but there was a problem with steam and it wasn't detecting it. Reinstalled it and it patched and works fine again.

Bought it and downloading it now! I couldnt get direct2drive to recognise my debit card so I just threw my hands up and bought it directly on Steam for $89.99 xD

Yeah that's Steam for you, it really sucks to download a popular game when it's new.
Try going for servers beyond Australia if have the usage.
